Vanessa Hudgens has stated before that Frankie B. is her favorite brand of jeans. What girl doesn’t love them, really? Yet, we have only spotted her in them once wearing them a couple years back. I wonder if Zac is inspiring her to start branching out on denim choices again?
Being in love with distressing and cut offs, Vanessa chose a pair that definitely suits her style. She was spotted out in Studio City, California with a friend wearing a pair of the Frankie B. Ziggy Shorts in Forbidden. I like these shorts. I think they are really great fitting shorts and the detail is really amazing. It has an amazing wash with the usual tears on these shorts, but what adds a bit more interest are the zippers on the side. They remind me of the Alexa shorts by Siwy, but with zippers on both sides instead of one. You can click here to purchase these jeans at RevolveClothing for $143.
Since the skinny cargo pant trend is in full swing, I am going to be reviewing a few of them within the coming weeks. I have already reviewed the J Brand Houlihan cargos and this next review is for the Frankie B. Maury skinny cargo pants in Army Worn.
These cargo pants are so comfy!! They are made from really soft cotton, tencel and lycra. They have a really smooth and stretchy feel to them, all while being really easy to move in and perfect for wearing if you want comfort. They have the classic Frankie B. low rise and the colour is a perfect shade of army green. The thing I love most about these cargo pants is the aesthetics of them, the pockets on the knees are really cute and the back pockets have buttons and zippers on them too. These pants don’t have any ankle zips but not all cargo pants need them, there is so much detail on these cargos that ankle zips are not needed.
They run pretty true to size for Frankie B. as I stayed with my normal size. I really love these cargo pants so much, they do stretch out quite a bit though so I may have wished I had sized down one size. I have worn them twice already and they have got a bit loose in the legs area. These are definitely in my top 3 skinny cargos right now! I would definitely recommend them if you are looking to jump on the skinny cargo pants bandwagon and you are wanting a pair with a lot of details on them, these pants have a lot of stitching detail on the legs as well as all of the pockets and zips. They are definitely a cute pair! You can see all of the photos in the gallery below. Buy these pants at Frankie B. for $174.

Christina Applegate attended the premier of her newest film, Dogs and Cats 2 this past weekend. Christina also had an exciting announcement, that she’s pregnant with her first child! It seems like so many celebrities these days are pregnant!
For the red carpet, Christina opted for denim leggings from Frankie B. She wore Frankie B’s BFF legging in black gold. The black leggings completed her all sleek all black outfit. Apparently she loved them so much, she requested more of their jeans for her upcoming events! She’s going to be quite a stylish mom! Buy Frankie B. jeans at Revolve Clothing.
We caught up with Daniella Clarke, the founder and designer behind the wonderful brand Frankie B. We wanted to find out more about her new styles, her cargo pants and her new higher rise jeans! Yep, she is bringing out jeans with a medium rise! Carry on reading below to find out more. Also, just to let you readers know, I will be doing a review on her new cargo pants this week! They are gorgeous!
DB: What are you working on for next season? Anything new?
I’m currently working on Spring Summer 2011. We are still focusing heavily on leggings and fun light weight fabrics .
DB: I heard you were doing a higher rise jean, is that true?
We did introduce a mid rise jean due out soon. I know that we are mainly known for our low rise jean but I want to offer an alternative to the girl that wants to wear Frankie B. but might want a higher rise. I don’t want to be a one trick pony but to be frank it’s hard to break the assumptions that Frankie B. is illegally low. I admit we were very low 10 years ago when we started but we are much more than that now.
DB: Tell us about your new cargo pant! It’s gorgeous!
Thank you I agree! We have been consistently offering a Cargo throughout the years in almost every collection. The Cargo has always been a strong seller for us. The new Maury cargo is a skinny done in an ultra soft light weight twill. Super comfy but still has that Frankie B. edge and sexiness.
DB: Will we be seeing anymore cargo pants from you next season?
We are going forward with the Maury Cargo in White, Khaki and gun metal.
DB: What has been your inspiration for your current collection?
I’ve always loved that tough chic kinda ‘tom boy’ attitude, which played in perfectly with the military trends of the season.
DB: What are your favourite trends at the moment and jeans you have designed?
My personal fave of this season is definitely the cargo!
