Frankie B Jeans
We got the chance to catch up with the lovely Daniella Clarke of Frankie B. to find out what we can expect from her SS14 collection, details on her FW14 line and more about her inspiration, her fits and future possibilities! Check out the interview below!
DB: Frankie B. is always so inventive, what fun styles can we expect for the new SS14 season?
The one style that I’m really excited about is a denim Bohemian Maxi Skirt. I also love all our striped skinny’s this season, especially the indigo ones.
DB: When did you know that the low-rise was the signature for Frankie B.?
It’s funny because I never thought of it that way at all. It really was as simple as I just couldn’t find low rise jeans back in the late 90’s, so I decided to make them. I never expected to be known for them.
The holidays are over and I’m back with my first denim review of the year! This one is on the Frankie B. Destroyed Leather Patch Leggings in Black Fade. I originally saw these on Revolve Clothing and thought they were so cool! I’m very used to seeing denim or cotton patches underneath rips, or just skin, but having faux leather panels under them is something new and creative! See what I think about these jeans in my review below!
For this weeks weekend going out look, I wanted to style something quite festive and perfect for New Years Eve. I chose these Frankie B. My BFF Leggings in Black & Gold Stripes as they look amazing! I was instantly drawn to the black with the gold foiling, it’s so pretty!
I paired the jeans with a La Garconne cream sweater and a Topshop black sleeveless jacket. This look would look equally as good with a black blazer, but I use them a lot in my outfits, so I wanted to vary it a bit. I chose the Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels in black to smarten things up and then opted for gold jewellery to tie in with the jeans. I chose a 7 For All Mankind Gorjana Aurora necklace, a Janis Savitt Ring, a Lord & Taylor gold watch and a Kate Spade gold bangle.
Black and white thick striped jeans are so popular at the moment! So many brands are releasing their take on the trend and I have been seeing them all over the fashion blogs and online stores!
Next to wear a pair is Audrina Patridge. She chose the Frankie B. Striped BFF skinny jeans while attending the KRQQ Weenie Roast over the weekend. What’s your thoughts on this trend? Do you like it? Buy these jeans online at Kitson for $165.
