For my weekend going out look I wanted to cover a trend that’s happening right now, flared denim overalls. I think these FRAME Denim Le High Flare Denim Overalls are pretty cool and we have already spotted them on celebs, so it made sense to do my look centered around them!
I wanted to keep things classy and chic, so I kind of got inspiration from Rachel Zoe for this look! I paired the overalls with this 3.1 Phillip Lim Silk Wrap Front Blouse to keep it crisp and clean. For height, I opted for these Salvatore Ferragamo Espadrille Wedges and then to add a sense of ease, I chose this Michael Kors Travel Tote.
For accessories, I went with these Diane Von Furstenberg Gold Stack Rings, a Daisy London Ring and then some Forever 21 Stacking Rings. As this look is perfect for shopping during the sun, I finally finished it with this New Look Floppy Hat and some Freyrs Sunglasses. I could definitely see this on Rachel Zoe!
Kate Bosworth was spotted leaving her hotel in New York. The actress wore the FRAME Le High Flare Dungarees in Eton Avenue with sandals from her Matisse collaboration and finished her look off with a Thakoon bag.
I am not surprised to see Kate take on the ’70s sense of these overalls full on with the styling and I actually think she carries it off really well. She somehow makes it feel modern, which I find is really hard to do with such a strong cut like these. What do you think of this look on Kate? FRAME has always been a brand that was fearful when it came to distressing. They have their Le Color Rips and Nowita washes that have been favorites since they launched a few years back, but when it came to their boyfriend style, Le Garcon, they have mostly kept it minimal.
Well the story has now changed with their new Richmond wash. There is an organic sense to it that I just find amazing. The way the wash plays with the distressing in such a fluid way is something that I always look for in the style because nothing beats a pair of naturally looking worn in jeans. I always loved the casualness of the look of an oversized button down shirt paired with flares. There is this Topanga Canyon/California beach vibe to it that I find really appealing which is why I chose the FRAME Le High Rise Flare in Hardy to style this week.
To carry on the vibe a bit further, I opted for a striped button down shirt by CP Shades. It has the borrowed from the boyfriend look that adds an ease to the it that I was looking for. I then chose flats by Lanvin as I felt a heeled or wedge shoe would feel too dressed up for what I was going for. To finish it all off, I went for a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and a necklace by Rachel Zoe to add some flare to the look. How many of you are looking to try an outfit like this for the weekend?
