Earnest Sewn’s newest collaboration is with Peter Som. A few of the pieces (in the gallery below) debuted in Peter Som’s Spring 2013 Runway show on Friday at Milk Studios. The collaboration is called Floral Fusion and it features the floral print in pastel shades of pinks and creams. These pieces are limited edition for Spring 2013 and combines both brand’s contrasting qualities: Earnest Sewn’s rebellious nature and Peter Som’s refined designer’s touch.
The line blossomed from Peter Som’s poppy runway prints and incorporated Earnest Sewn’s renowned denim techniques such as pigment coating and laser-dye processes. Earnest Sewn’s Creative Director, Ben Talley Smith said, “the collaboration has pushed our team to work with silhouettes outside of the traditional five pocket realm that we know and love, so that in itself has been exciting for us.”
Designer, Peter Som noted that he’s “thrilled to partner with The Earnest Sewn Co. The fusion of my runway prints with their expertise in denim has resulted in a very exciting collaboration. As someone who wears Earnest Sewn jeans regularly, the collaboration is a natural fit.” The Earnest Sewn x Peter Som collaboration capsule collection contains seven pieces in total. In particular, the Esra lilac, pink floral short, a dark indigo floral skirt, and a mist mint green floral trouser while incorporating a wearable signature jean. What do you think of the joint venture? I love the jeans above!
