DL1961 Jeans
Styling DL1961 Amanda Jeans in Mayhem
DL1961 asked us to style their Amanda Jeans in Mayhem for our styling post this month. Even though the jeans are lighter washed and distressed, I still got the vibe that they could easily be dressed up, so I wanted to counteract the casual look of them and smarten the look up a little. To keep with the theme though, I went for a boyfriend blazer from Topshop, so the look would be a little bit slouchy, I layered that over a Victoria Beckham Two Tone Silk Shirt as I loved the cream and black contrast.
For the accessories, I chose a pair of Guiseppe Zanotti heels to smarten up the outfit, but the wedge still keeps it a little low key. I added some colour with a Diane Von Furstenberg Citrine Gacie Clutch and then some sparkle with the Baccarat blue french crystal necklace. When I started putting this look together, I actually got a Kate Moss vibe from the beginning, with the skinny jeans, oversized blazer and heels, but I added more colour than she would usually wear. Victoria Justice in DL1961 Skinny Jeans
Victoria Justice stopped by the Grove to appear on Extra while promoting her upcoming summer concert tour. For her appearance, Victoria wore a pair of DL1961 skinny jeans with a Prabal Gurung for Target tee shirt and heels.
We see Victoria out in DL1961 a lot, it seems to be one of her favorite brands. This style is very similar to the Amanda style that has pocket zips, but instead of just zippers on one side, these have zippers on both sides. I like that the zippers are a bit more subtle and add a nice detail to these jeans. You can buy DL1961 jeans online here.
Denim Review: DL1961 Emma in Bloom
This weeks review of mine is on the brand new DL1961 Emma skinny jeans in Bloom, which are part of their new DLpro fabric range. I was very intrigued to do this review as I have numerous others pairs of DL1961 jeans and I was interested to know how this new DLpro fabric would be in comparison to their other denim.
DL1961′s New Fabric – DLpro
DL1961 has always been known for its Xfit fabric which had a 4 way stretch, making their jeans retain their shape and fit you perfectly, but now they have come out with a brand new denim fabric; DLpro. The brand has taken denim to the next level by combining the Xfit lycra, lenzing modal and tencel fibers, creating the ultimate fit, shape and feel.
This new fabric means the jeans have 99% shape retention, while maintaining an extremely lightweight fabric which is not only breathable, but beautiful at the same time. This new technology gives their denim the power stretch element which everyone loves in a pair of jeans for comfort, but they won’t become baggy or loose with wear like a lot of lighter weight fabrics can.
The DLpro fiber is also 50% more absorbent than cotton, which gives it a gorgeous silk sheen and the ability to mould to the body better than most denim.
