I can’t actually explain how excited I was to finally try the new Diesel Skinzee cut as Diesel has always held a big soft spot in my heart from years ago as they were one of the first brands I loved when I got into premium denim. Those of you who have known me for a while from the blog will know that I used to live in Matic and Lowky as they were two of the best cuts that Diesel ever came out with. Matic 81M was my favourite jean for numerous years and it still is one of them, if only they were stretchier.
Model Amber Le Bon posed for photos for Diesel to promote the new Skinzee 0813C jean from the brands Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The photos were shot by Felix Cooper and look great in my opinion! I have included a little statement below about the new Skinzee cut (which I am trying next week) so you can find out more about it. It’s available online at many retailers and also in store as well!
‘Diesel’s SS13 women’s wear collection adds a new twist to the classic armor of the 21st century woman, adding sensuality and femininity without undermining her innate confidence.“Fit your attitude” is the core theme of the denim collection, as SS13 captures the many attitudes of Diesel woman through iconic styles featuring the brand’s distinctive treatments for the summer time. Great news is the introduction of a new style: the Skinzee. Taking the best from both the comfort world of jeggings and the stylish look of real 5 pocket denim, Skinzee’s stretchy fabric adapts perfectly to the body and springs back to its original shape after use.’
Diesel held a party with EDUN at The Old Selfridges Hotel in London, in celebration of the Diesel + EDUN collaboration last week. Robin Scott-Lawson from My Beautiful City created a gorgeous exhibition space especially for the party, so it was based around the 12 African talents featured in the campaign.
