This is probably one of my favorite looks that I have seen from one of the guys. I find a lot of the looks by the men, which is not bad, tend to be very redundant. Diesel Black Gold Men’s Milan SS13
The Diesel Black Gold Spring/Summer 2013 menswear collection showed during Milan Fashion Week yesterday in Italy. The futuristic and anachronistic Steampunk world of the 1980’s/early 1990’s was reinterpreted with a fresh approach for todays’ men with a rock chic attitude. I have included some key looks from the catwalk and I have also included some front row shots of Adrien Brody and Renzo Rosso. Also in attendance was Bianca Balti, Matteo Ceccarini, Saturnino and Bob Cornelius Rifo.
Masculine tailoring infused with military and mechanical references: a play with details, proportions and high-waist silhouettes. Steampunk inspiration is accented with several strong technological and functional elements: jewellery buttons, metallic lace eyewear, bold zips, mechanical flowers, embroidered in tailored suiting and classic shirts. They are mixed with military-inspired constructions: a casual jacket with a elastic hem, which recalls the army underwear, a hunting vintage jacket with the typical arm protection shoulders detail, which is developed as prints and embroideries in different garments.
Contemporary elements come also through in the use of contrast textures, such as leather combined with suede, satin with Japanese microfiber, jacquard with rib, cool wool with leather, emphasized with technical and rich details to create a 3D effect bringing to life the collection. Denim is burned by laser, artfully distressed and artisanal engineered at the same time.
The colour palette is a playful melange of black navy and different shades of white, exploring the indigo tones, with clashes of intense pop-up colours – red, green, bright mustard, yellow, electric blue. The collection includes graphic geometrical stripes, applied in various treatments: as prints for knitwear, jackets, trousers and as distinctive element for shoes, bags and belts.

Adrien Brody in Diesel Black Gold
Adrien Brody was spotted at Milan Design Week in Milan, Italy. He wore a head-to-toe look by Diesel Black Gold. I think this is a really great look. I love the way everything fits him and how it is layered.

Diesel Black Gold Autumn/Winter 2012
The Diesel Black Gold menswear collection walked the runway in Milan, Italy yesterday with a celebrity front row. A-list Actors Stephen Dorff and Luke Evans were among those taking the front row seats and looked amazing.
The new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection from the brand was filled with metallics, suiting, velvet and of course, leather. It wouldn’t be a Diesel Black Gold show without the leather! The colour palette for the runway show consisted of dark shades in black, navy, purples and browns, but they also had brights in the shades of red, orange and blue. What I love most about Diesel Black Gold is that the clothes are very unisex, they also featured a female model wearing some of the new styles. A dreamer, a biker, a fighting musician in a life of perpetual movement across situations and frontiers. Diesel Black Gold FW’12 collection harkens back to Diesel’s roots, emphasizing and expressing the free soul of this metropolitan hero with military construction and vintage biker looks.
G arments are challenging yet classic – an entertaining clash of styles. Key items include stretch velvet suits, pony skin peacots, bomber jackets combining leather and felt through needle punch. Leather is crucial and it’s combined also with knitwear.
L oose fit and high waist pants are matched with super light & shiny nylon trench with metallic details; utility elements give garments a dynamic yet though feeling, such as the 3-D effect on knitwear. Seventies cuts are the last touch for the Diesel Black Gold contemporary man, who doesn’t forget his being a modern dandy looking for sophisticated treatments.
C olor palette ranges from black and anthracite to navy blue, tobacco, eggplant and brilliant red. Denim has its own space with 5 pockets fully hand-crafted in Okayama and Los Angeles with a traditional process, to express the real vintage look. The jeans lover will find also coated denim, or thermo-tape and flock details providing an alternative, “rock-chic” elegance to casual attires.
