Citizens of Humanity
For Spring 2014, Citizens of Humanity made a nod to luxury vintage with their Premium Vintage collection. Taking inspiration from what drew them to denim in first place, designers Jerome Dahan and Catherine Ryu turned selvage and non-selvage fabrics into washes that embody the natural heritage of denim.
You can never go wrong by taking inspiration from where it all began, especially with denim. From the stories that each individual pair tells to the the way the fabric feels, denim takes on many ways of life. So when I heard about this collection I could not be more thrilled to see the outcome. The washes feel organic and the styles seem easy, just like the pairs of the past.
