Citizens of Humanity
Here is the new Fall 2013 lookbook by Citizens of Humanity. Inspired by the rock’n'roll bohemian groupies of the ’60s, think Anita Pallenberg and Penny Lane, the collection featured pieces in distressed washes with a natural aged appearance and subtle whiskering for a “worn in” feel.
The collection did not lack modernism though. To keep it feeling fresh, Citizens added contrasting textures of slick leatherette, suede-like super stretch, clean sulfur colors and dark indigo washes allow for a high society drifter feel to add a polished edge. See the lookbook below.
Anna Kendrick attended a kick off party for the Governor’s Ball Music Festival in New York. For the event, she wore a pair of Citizens of Humanity Avedon Skinny jeans in Axel with a leather jacket and pumps.
This is a great outfit, but I think that it is better suited for a fall or winter event. The colors are a little dark for a summer music festival! I think the jeans would’ve looked better paired with a bright top and heels or sandals. You can buy these jeans online from Shopbop.com for $178.

I think that every time I see Anna Paquin wearing these Citizens of Humanity shorts, I love them more. I think both the light and dark washes of the patches are nice on their own, but paired together they complement each other really well.
I also like that Anna kept the rest of the outfit simple with just a navy sweater and black boots. What do you think of these shorts? Do you like them? You can buy Citizens of Humanity jeans online from Shopbop.com
We haven’t seen Jennifer out in these jeans in quite some time. She tends to favor a particular pair and re-wear them often. I do really like this outfit on her though, the simple white tee with the dark jeans with light boots is a nice casual look that doesn’t look too sloppy.
