Nicole Richie has really stepped up her fashion game lately. She was first caught in her leather pants by J Brand, then Saint Laurent and now she has taken it to another level with a pair by Balmain for a shopping trip at Curve in New York.
I would have never expected Nicole to choose a style this bold as she seems like someone that opts for more classic pieces. But like I said earlier, she has been nothing but bold lately since switching stylists to Cher Coulter (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kate Bosworth and Elizabeth Olsen are also her clients). I wonder what pair we would be seeing her in next? Fingers crossed to see her wear either the white or black Nicolas by J Brand. This is the second sighting of the new Balmain collection. As of now, I am sure we will be getting some more sightings of it and I am happy to write about them. It was filled with so much denim this season, which was something that hasn’t appeared the past few seasons. How many of you are looking forward to seeing more pieces? Zoe Saldana made an appearance at Comic-Con in San Diego, California to promote her new movie Guardians of the Galaxy. The Comic-Con regular wore a chambray jumpsuit from the new Balmain Resort ’14 collection. Zoe just looks amazing here and I love that she opted to not wear the belt with the look. Without it, I find the jumpsuit to be more flattering and feel more proportioned.
What Olivier has done with both the Resort collection and men’s this season is just amazing. It had that staple ’80s feel without looking dated like the previous seasons. Not to mention the color palette has to be my favorite out of all the collections. Every amazing shade of blue possible and all the denim pieces imaginable. With a new season comes new styles. This season many have ventured to new territories for the men. Along with the classic blue styles, brands like Hudson and Rag & Bone have decided to make their men’s styles with distressing, biker stitching and even adding in prints. Brands like Ksubi did their take on the cargo by slimming the leg and making it more flattering. Check out our choices for the summer below.
