The long awaited Pierre Balmain collection is now available for pre-order at Luisaviaroma. Great news about this diffusion line is that the prices range from $120-$2000. Much more affordable for the many Balmainiacs. Both the men’s and women’s collection have the grungier, amazingly tailored aesthetic of previous Balmain designer, Christophe Decarnin. The jeans were faded, distressed and had zippers galore.
For the women, the pieces ranged from a pencil skirt to their classic Balmain zip-jeans. The washes come in white to black and even printed. The men’s collection had a wider range of washes. It had a few great distressed styles and some clean skinny jeans in black to red. They didn’t leave the biker jeans out either. They come in white, black, and red. These weren’t the first older pair of Balmains that Kate wore in recent times. She wore a pair of the snake print ones at Glastonbury a few months back. I would like to see her wear the plaid and red leopard pairs again. Just to see how she would style them this time around.
Kate Moss was spotted leaving her house in London, England in a pair of Black Orchid Black Jewel Skinny jeans in Newton. This is probably the most demure I have ever seen Kate. There is no sense of edge and rock ‘n’ roll in this look. I think it just shows the versatility that the fashion world loves about her.
Have you readers seen Kate’s new cover (below) of Vogue Paris? This makes it her third one for the French Edition this year and umteenth one for Vogue magazine in general. This is a very different look for Kate. It almost looks more like Mariaclara Boscono than Kate. One thing that is true Kate about this cover is that she is rocking Balmain. What do you think of it?
