It has been talked about for months now…ever since PR woman about town Kelly Cutrone made her debut on The Hills: This tough as nails single mom and company, People’s Revolution, would definitely get their own–all the while escewing from the spotlight that LC/Whitney junk for the real stuff of fashion.
What we know: Magical Elves, Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, the production team behind Project Runway’s success will produce the show, exposing Cutrone’s hectic world of PR, branding, production and sales, including her many clients, like designer, Sass & Bide.
What we don’t know: Will people actually like Cutrone in this new show? And where will it be aired? Rumors hint at NBC. Hmmm…might Audrina Patridge hit Kelly up for a spot on Divine Rights of Denim?
What do you think? Will Kelly Cutrone’s reality show make your TiVo list next year? Or will it be a flop without Speidi?

You may remember reading back in August that Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz was designing a line of denim with Acne, appropriately dubbed Acne/Lanvin. Well the line is finally will finally be available beginning next Thursday at select Barney’s New York stores or at Acne Studios online. But don’t get too excited yet, because the line is expected to sell out in retail stores within the first two days! Priced from $455 for jeans to $1,350 for more lavish pieces like dresses or a blazer–just goes to show you that the fashion world’s love for Elbaz isn’t about to end with Lanvin (and neither will their spending!). The collection is 28 pieces, and “combines the classic style and impeccable detailing of Lanvin with the slightly rugged and hip look that Acne is famous for,” says Doria Santofler of New York Magazine.
If you didn’t get a chance to read the previous post on this line, definitely check out all the details here!
Here are some views from the look book, and also some of the models in ACNE/Lanvin at their recent kick off soiree in Paris. I adore the looks…I feel they shout the femininity and sophistication of Lanvin that we’d always expect…and yet don’t exclude the fun, girliness that makes us fall for denim everytime. What do you think? Is ACNE/Lanvin for you too?
Every year when the holiday parties roll around, there is one thing on my mind immediately: What to wear?
As usual, when I walk into room, I see the usual sea of women dressed in the black-pants-red-blouse ensemble. And, even if they pull it off without looking matronly, I have always vowed never to be that girl. Thanks to DenimBlog’s friends over at Bluefly, eLuxury and Revolve Clothing, I’ve put together a few ideas to cover most of our bases this year. Best of all, everything is on sale! Get it while you can…
For an office party look, why not wear this amazing Earnest Sewn “Olivia” High Waisted & Waxed Black Denim Skirt as your main look? Here are some ideas to pair it with, like a fabulous Alexander Wang Top and a Christian Louboutin Pump:
Need the perfect jean for your Dressed up Holiday Sit Down Dinners and for those dessert laden meals? Definitely check out the Genetic Denim “Carb Stretch” Slim Skinny jean for a simple and chic look. Paired with just the right items, like this Cole Haan Clutch, no one will notice if you sneak an extra ginger snap!
And, lastly, celebrate your New Year’s Eve Party looking your best. Pretty much every girl I know loves wearing Rich and Skinny–the Bellissima Jean is a nice way to doll yourself up as you ring in 2009. Plus, it looks amazing with just about anything, including these Miu Miu Heels and this Proenza Schouler Top.
What do you think? What are you going to be wearing to your favorite holiday events this year? Are you making denim the centerpiece?
So we’ve known for sometime now that TopShop was heading to USÔÇöthe exact time frame, however, eluded us as the huge signs in front of the slated 40k square foot Soho store announced to all who would pass that Fall 2008 was the date. But after owner Sir Philip Green’s US visit this past week, it seems official: Get ready girls, March 2009. The boutiques of TopShop have some amazingly good denim, not to mention hot pieces for your man at TopMan.
Did you see the recent blog post of Kate Bosworth in her ÔÇÿ80’s style light washed jeans from TopShop? If not check it out here. Here’s a sneak peak of what was shown in the US TopShop lookbook by Green, available this SpringÔǪseems like Ms. Bosworth might have gotten in early on the goodsÔǪ
