The first shots of the Energie Denim Line Ad Campaign have been released…and the new face, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, star of films The Tudors and Bend It Like Beckham and Match Point (and Golden Globe nominee at that), is looking mighty fine in Miss Sixty’s Italian Sister Brand.
The website, www.energie.it, which is powered by none other than Yoox.com, is pretty sweet too, with a great beat, an awesome intro video and a full selection of underwear, sweaters, tees, and even handbags to pull it altogether. There is quite a bit on sale right now too. The sale rack for men’s denim starts at $95 and heads all the way on up from there to $359 for the “DropDeadDenim” jeans that Rhys Meyers is modeling for us–Limited Edition–and web only. Check ‘em out:
dVb by Victoria Beckham Denim Collect”10″n (wait–actually, the Collect”10″n branding bit is actually reserved only for the dresses…but I couldn’t resist) were such a huge hit that the designer is doing it again, rolling out her new Spring 08/09 denim line with another simply stellar look book.
If you do not sense my droll sarcasm above, please go back and re-read…
Once again we are faced with the similar styling and coloring, but the design team has rolled in men’s and it looks like jewelry…are those dVb jewelry accessories? Or just the styling touches? Hmm. Now, I do realize that our best JPG Toting Vegan can dress, but I even after I went over and over these pics, I still don’t get it. I feel like they could do better.
It is as if the dVb team tried to do every possible thing here (and I do mean everything!)
Let’s see…we’ve got models mimicking the Beckhams themselves, a shot at the boyfriend jean, some weird Christian Siriano type waist cincher, a pair of skinnes, every wash in the book, black jeans, pink jeans, white jeans, yellow jeans, baby blue jeans (did I mention every wash under the sun?) We’ve got sunglasses, we’ve got cord necklaces, we’ve got button fly’s, zip fly’s and flares…and yes, we even now know from the dVb look book that bangs are back! Thank you David and Victoria.
But, I’ll tell you what…whether I like it or not…the girl’s got selling power. And, I would definitely place my fav pair of 2001 River Rock Earl Jeans as a wager that these pink star patch pocket bad boys will sell this year (and I bet that the men’s like will do pretty well too.)
Are you buying? Check out the rest of the pics…
