Men’s Milan Fashion Week may be long gone, but check out this unique video featuring Diesel’s Black Gold collection and UK electro-indie rockers, These New Puritans. I have also included some information on Diesel’s new collection and who their male customer is.
The Diesel Black Gold man is a city rebel. Military uniforms are reworked into tough outerwear. Conversely, knitwear takes inspiration from vintage undergarments. Protective gear features detachable plastrons of leather vests that gleam with metal hardware. Shirts for daytime and evening also glitter with carapaces of sequins or metallic applications. Techno-voile adds an unexpected poetry to jackets, shirts, knitwear and sneakers. Denim for men is slim-fit, but occasionally shows off this season’s new drop crotch. Tones have the grey or green cast of battledress while a layer of resin is applied on the light Japanese cloth denim.
About the collection:
The deceptively simple pieces seem effortless and casual, yet they have an underlying edge of strength. Materials are layered or contrasted to express women’s complexity. Leather is combined with soft and artisanal denim in slim dresses and jumpsuits while velvet is covered with tulle to create delicate metropolitan looks. Leather emerges again in stretch mono-shoulder dresses and soft biker jackets. Delicate metal embroidery, inspired by yarn and denim weave, embraces women’s shapes while wool dresses with a bleached out look turn softness into rebellion.
Denim pants are slim-fit, distressed in an artisanal way and hand-treated. Hammered vintage studs reinforce seams while metal rings and airbrush drawings give jackets a punkish attitude. Tulle is layered on denim to inject outfits with an additional dose of softness in contrast with the hardcore soul of accessories. Belts tightly bind the waist with oversized domed metal studs and silver serrated details. Treated crystal and chromed pyramids cover bracelets completing the look.

Actress Rachel Bilson got snapped by the paps at a gas station in Studio City, California earlier this week. Those pesky paparazzi really get everywhere don’t they?! But still, without them we wouldn’t get the celebs in jeans candids! Rachel was wearing her grey Siwy Hannah skinny jeans again, tucked into a pair of black wedge boots with a shirt and jacket. I think she looks pretty cute! I love her hair being curly as well, it’s very girly.
I really love how adventurous Michelle of Siwy Denim is when it comes to her washes and jeans. I know these jeans are a simple grey wash but a lot of others are very funky, I love them! Have you seen her new cargo pant as well? It’s definitely different to the ones we have been seeing! You can check it out by clicking here. You can also buy other Siwy jeans at Boutique To You and use the code DenimBlog10 for 10% off!
Hiding her face from the paparazzi after leaving a business meeting in Studio City, California, Vanessa Hudgens wore a pair of Wildfox Denim skinny jeans in Dark Rip with a sweater and sandals. We have seen these jeans on a few celebs now and I think they might become quite popular! A lot of celebs love the Wildfox clothing line so I’m sure they will buy into their denim as well. I know Ashley Tisdale adores Wildfox so hopefully we will see her in their denim too!
I actually really like the look of their denim, I especially love the plain back pockets. They do remind me a lot of Current/Elliott style back pockets though. What do you think of Wildfox’s new venture in denim? Buy these jeans at Singer22 for $182 and buy these jeans at Boutique to You for $182.
