Remember we told you about Wrangler’s challenges called Stop Thinking? Well the first event took place and it was a sky dive! Four ordinary members of the British public jumped out of a plane at 13000 feet above the Belgian countryside.
They had responded to the challenge laid down by iconic denim brand Wrangler: “If you were asked to drop everything at a moment’s notice and just go…could you?…would you?”
Following in the footsteps the viral seeding of Stop Thinking film in September 2009, Wrangler followed up in August 2010 and September 2010, persuading thousands of fashion fanatics and jeans lovers to sign up to its mysterious Stop Thinking website. These daring souls were posed a series of cryptic clues, which hinted at a wild, crazy, life-changing event that they could be part of – if they were prepared to Stop Thinking
Danni Osborne, Graham Newlands, Matt Doughty and Kelvin Fred-Horsfall were the selected few who braved the challenge, their journey can be viewed at http://www.stopthinking.co.uk. The countdown has begun for the next Stop Thinking call to action. You can view the videos of the events on the Wrangler YouTube channel by clicking here. The sky dive video looks amazing! I’m glad they all did it!
It seems like celebs are really loving the trouser/flared/bootcut jeans right now, I knew flared jeans would be big for Fall/Winter and I am really excited they are taking off! Although it does mean wet hems during the rainy days unfortunately. The latest celeb to wear the trend was Jessica Alba, she was enjoying a mother daughter day out with Honor in Beverly Hills, California. It looks like Jess picked up some things for Honor as they stopped by the children’s boutique Lola et Moi.
Jessica was wearing a pair of 7 For All Mankind Dojo jeans in Daring Cleo wash for the day. Even though this outfit is really casual I think it’s beautiful! I like the leopard print against the pretty wash of these jeans. Scarves are one of my favourite accessories for the colder months, they really brighten up any outfit and look chic at the same time! I know Jess loves scarves so I wonder what ones we will see her in next? Buy these jeans at 7 For All Mankind for $189. Please click this blog post to view more images.
Shearling (or sheepskin) is really hot right now. It’s a great way to still wear your denim jackets but actually stay warm at the same time. I wasn’t too sure on the way shearling looked against denim but now It’s grown on me and I can’t wait to wear this trend! For those of us who just can’t do real sheepskin, there are other options as a lot of places do faux sheepskin so it’s completely animal friendly! Topshop is a great example of that.
So how many of you love this trend and are going to be rocking it for Winter? I know I am! Since this trend is taking off, it’s not just on denim! It’s on a lot of leather jackets, boots and vests as well. It reminds me of an old flying jacket when I see it on the leather styles. I like it though!
Singer22 is giving one lucky DenimBlog reader the chance to WIN a pair of the brand new J Brand Agnes jeans in Stealth! These jeans are one of the hottest at the moment, they have been seen on Rihanna and Katherine Heigl so far and many more celebs to come! Would you like to own a pair? The leather look trend is one that is here to stay throughout Winter and it’s great for everyone as it’s an animal friendly fabric at a more affordable price! Not to mention the zippers on these jeans are HOT!
