Here is one of the first denim reviews I am doing as requested by the lovely readers. I have chosen to do 7 For All Mankind’s Moto Leggings in Coco wash. They are brand new and not out until February 28th 2010 so you have to wait a while. Kim Kardashian also owns these lovely jeans. They are super stretchy, like real leggings, you could do yoga in them! They run true to size like most 7 For All Mankind jeans and are very comfy. They are definitely loads different to the normal style of their jeans, they have plain pockets and a pretty marble style wash, cute ankle zips and an elasticated waistband. I wasn’t sure on them at first as I have never really bought into the moto jeans trend but I tried them on and I absolutely love them! They are a very flattering fit and paired with a longer top like Kim and some boots you can’t go wrong. 7 For all mankind really did well designing these. I included lots of close up photos so you can see the details and the wash properly. Also the rise is 9 inches and the inseam is 30 inches for reference.
I really like these jeans, they are great for running errands and wearing as casual every day jeans. I personally wouldn’t wear them dressed up because of the wash.
Full laid down front shot of the jeans, you can see how pretty they are just lying on the floor.
Full laid down back shot of the jeans so you can see the wash clearly and how they lay.
Close up front shot, you can see the elastic in the waistband which is very stretchy and easily worn for comfort. They also have seam stitching around the front of the crotch and thighs.
Close up shot of the back, you can see the seam just below the waist band, it curves downwards which is a lot different to the regular stitching.
You can see the elasticated waistband and the stitching around the knees and legs more closely.
They have very cute ankle zippers as you can see below.
Modeled photos so you can see how they look on the thighs.
Modeled details of the seam stitching around the knee area.
Modeled side photo, you can see all of the stitching very clearly and how they sit on the legs and butt. They are very figure hugging and flattering but loads different from the normal style denim legging jeans.

The hot and sexy Matthew McConaughey was playing football with his son in Pasadena, California, wearing a washed out pair of old Levi’s jeans. I find it so cute that his son is called Levi! I’m a huge fan of Matthew’s movies, I love the romance stories that he normally stars in. Looks like he is having a fun time!
I love these new bags! Cheryl Brooks is an up and coming designer and I think some of her denim bags are really pretty. They remind me of when I was younger, I chopped off the legs of an old pair of jeans, sewn them up and voila, I had a bag. I then decorated it. I included some photos of some of her favourite bags and some info on Cheryl herself. The bags range from $25 to $160.
Cheryl Brooks is constantly on the rise as a self-taught designer of things of beauty. Cheryl established Nilaja in 2003, while being a stay-at-home mother. Cheryl began drawing art on jeans and the rest is history. The multi-talented illustrator started selling her greeting cards in galleries and boutiques in the Cleveland, Ohio area where she grew up.
Cheryl has designed greeting cards for celebrities such as Beyonce, Common, Macy Gray, Kanye West and Erykah Badu and Angela Bassett. Cheryl started her business with the use of recycled goods, requesting that her friends and family members donate jeans, old jewelry and any other what-nots that she could stumble upon in thrift stores, garage sales and online.
Cheryl made a name for herself by taking embellishments such as crystals, rhinestones, glass beads, feathers, shells and turning out unique, eye-appealing accessories. Growing her way through the world of accessories, next on her list has been handbags. Celebrity clients such as Venus and Serena Williams, actress/comedienne Kym Whitley, Cassandra McCree-Walker of HBO’s “The Wire,” stuntwoman/actress April Weeden-Washington and neo-soul background singer Stacey Richardson-Crawford are sporting Cheryl’s handbags. Cheryl’s first collection was created from recycled denim.
Cheryl has been awarded a design patent for her flagship purse that she decided to take to the marketplace. This confident step was taken to ensure that the fashion industry would know that she believed in her
ideas. Cheryl has also designed hair accessories, earrings, and bracelets. Cheryl was taught to sew, paint, draw, crochet, cross stitch, make jewelry, needlepoint, calligraphy, and knit by her mother and grandmother during her childhood. Cheryl’s first original design was her prom dress, which are now her company colors. She also made cheerleading uniforms for her squad in high school at sixteen. What’s so amazing about this talented female is that she received her
Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing from Case Western Reserve University. She didn’t even aspire to be in the fashion business… but destiny drew her to it.
Cheryl has been educated to be a sound businesswoman and gifted to create. Cheryl has been featured in Cleveland Magazine, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Talk of Cleveland Magazine, Houston Sun Newspaper Online, Today’s Black Woman Magazine, and interviewed by Rolling Out Magazine. She has been featured on WKYC (NBC) Channel 3′s,”Good Company and”That’s Life with Robyn Swoboda” on Cleveland’s Fox 8. Cheryl is also a philantropist, donating purses to causes such as The Stuntwomen’s Association of Los Angeles, The Cleveland Rape Crisis Center and just recently, The Bay Area Community festival.
Cheryl has lended her talents to art auctions such as The St. Clair/Superior Development Corporation and The City of Cleveland Kennel. Working with the worldwide acclaimed, National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Cheryl taught students at the Cleveland School of Arts how to become entrepreneurs.
How cute are these? Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Denim Platforms. I love them! These shoes are one of the best denim shoes I have seen, they look really sexy and are of course what our Blog is all about, Denim! Don’t you think they are hot? They will set you back about $895 though. They would look great paired with some super skinny ankle peg jeans in a lighter or darker wash then the shoe itself. You can buy them at Bergdorfgoodman.
