I adore denim skirts at the moment and have done since the trend fully took off this year. I used to wear them when I was younger, but as I grew up, those short denim skirts just weren’t for me anymore. However, so many denim brands have now released such modern takes on denim skirts that there’s a style to suit everyone. From the classic 90’s vibe, to pencil skirts, skater skits and more. With their new modern twist, you definitely wont feel dated or out of place! I’ve put together 5 different looks styled around 5 different denim skirts and each one suits a different genre of fashion! Which do you like?
The Boho Vibe
This is the style that I always associate with Alexa Chung, Alessandra Ambrosio and Vanessa Hudgens. Those ladies really know how to work their fringe and denim, making it look stylish. This denim skirt is of course the one that Alexa Chung designed for her AG Jeans collaboration, so it’s fitting. You really can’t go wrong by pairing this style with fringe, tan and flowy pieces! Given its versatility though, it can definitely be worn other ways if this isn’t for you.
Chris Tucker gave a thumbs up to the paps while arriving at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California for a departure flight out. Since he only had a duffel bag, I can’t imagine he’s travelling for long.
For his trip, Chris wore a double denim look, choosing to pair a light wash DSquared2 denim shirt with a pair of darker blue, distressed DSquared2 jeans. I always think that little circle imprint that the brand puts on the left pocket on some washes is really unique, it’s definitely helpful in recognising their jeans if you can’t see the red tab on the zipper area! Buy both the jeans and shirt online at their website.

TV personality Padma Lakshmi was pictured while making her way out of her Soho apartment a couple of days ago in New York City.
Padma joined the flares movement and wore a pair of J Brand flared jeans with a layered light blue top. I actually think this top is incredibly fun, I like how its structured and flattering at the same time as being creative. It’s a nice complement to the darker wash of the jeans. Orlando Bloom was pictured out with his son Flynn doing some shopping at Toy Crazy in Malibu, California last week.
Orlando wore his 3×1 denim shirt again, this time layering it over some slouchy navy pants, a white long sleeve tee and some flip flops. I think the thickness of this shirt and the quality of the denim makes it look very much like a denim jacket too! I really like it!
