This weeks review is on the new Paige Premium Calvary Jegging in Felix wash. Trilogy sent me these a while ago as they were an exclusive to their store here in the UK. They are also exclusive to a couple of stores in the US. Since I live in England, I am expecting to be using my umbrella a lot for photos now as we are known for a lot of rain from now on until Spring.
I’m absolutely in love with them! I’ve always loved Paige’s denim leggings because they are so comfortable and soft. They are also very flattering and they fit really well. Paige’s jeggings have been in my top 2 since I first tried them. These new Calvary jeggings are a different take on the trend as they have black denim panels on the inseam at the knee areas. The contrast from blue to black is not very noticeable because the felix wash is a very dark blue so it blends into the black quite nicely. The panels don’t make them fit or feel any differently to a normal jegging and they definitely don’t feel uncomfortable either.
The Calvary fits exactly like the Verdugo jeggings with the rise and the skinniness of the legs. The only thing different, like I mentioned above, is the paneling. I think these are a great way to try out the paneled denim trend. It’s very subtle and not too in your face. They are extremely stretchy as well. These run just like the June Lake, which is slightly bigger than the other Verdugo jeggings. I could have sized down to a 27 in these like I could have done with the June Lake wash.
The wash is so pretty! I would love a pair of Verdugo’s in this Felix wash. It’s a very deep and rich blue, it has a beautiful depth to it and it shines so nicely in different lights. The wash is very soft and it feels nice on the skin as well. It doesn’t have any polyester so it’s very comfortable. I can see myself living in these for a while now, I will be switching to these from my June Lake Verdugo’s. Those have been my go to pair since I got them! Buy these jeans at Trilogy for ┬ú230.
The brand we all love, J Brand, has just released the brand new Earhart modern flight pant as their newest style for the season. It’s fabricated in modern luxe twill for a really comfortable fit. The Earhart updates the classic flight pant to give you both a flattering silhouette and a comfortable, relaxed fit. They are available in 6 washes as you can see from the gallery images which will become available very soon. J Brand recommend you wear these casually as that’s when they look best.
You can buy these in Worn Brack Twill for $235 from J Brand here and you can buy them in Vintage Marshall for $235 at Singer22 here. So do you think these new Earhart pants are going to be the new Houlihan and Agnes? I can definitely see them catching on very quickly, they look so comfortable and soft but they keep a flattering appearance. I really like them! You can also buy them at Trilogy for the UK ladies!
Whitney Port attended the screening of Genuine Ken in a beautiful outfit. She chose to wear a pair of James Jeans Moto Skinny Jeans in Black Out, the same pair that we have seen on Nicky Hilton twice. I think Whitney looks fantastic in these! I love how she added that pop of colour with fuchsia booties and the cream laced top with the waterfall blazer just adds class to the whole outfit.
I never really thought that moto jeans could be dressed up very well, they always have such a casual look to them so they normally only match dressed down clothes. This pair however, seems to look good styled both ways! They are very versatile because they are so skinny and a very smart black wash. I’m still on the hunt for these beautiful jeans but unfortunately I can’t find them anywhere!
7 For All Mankind just launched their virtual store on the popular online game Retail Therapy (joining Diane Von Furstenberg and Topshop). They are the first denim store with a branded store on the game. I absolutely love the game and have been playing it for months. I’ve already visited the 7 For All Mankind store and purchased the jeans, a dress, a jacket and I own the cargos and other items.
The store is accessed via Facebook and can be played for free at http://playretailtherapy.com/play-now. It’s definitely a lot of fun, especially if you love and adore fashion and denim, you will have a great time playing the game and running your own boutique. I like the game because I can wear all of the clothes I can’t afford to buy. There are many many brands to choose from. Even Balmain, Current/Elliott and more, but they do not have a store like 7 For All Mankind do.
Modeled after 7 For All Mankind’s existing retail stores, the virtual store utilizes the same design aesthetic and architectural elements to create a seamless look and feel. The products available in the virtual store replicate pieces from 7 For All Mankind’s spring 2011 collection.
If you are brand new to the game, you begin with a small, empty boutique. You earn virtual money to customize your store with stylized furnishings or grow your store into giant department store. In addition to running your own boutique, you can shop at your friends’ stores or stores hosted by brand-name retailers.
“We are constantly looking for ways to engage our consumers, whether it’s virtually or in our retail stores. PopSugar’s Retail Therapy allows us the ability to do both at the same time – all while offering unique content for our Facebook fans. To create a virtual experience that mimics the premium experience of shopping in a real 7 For All Mankind store is exciting and creates a new level of affinity, familiarity, and attachment to the brand. We are excited to be a leader in this,” said Leilani Augustine, 7 For All Mankind’s VP of Marketing.
