I love that MOTHER took the details of these jeans to a full on ’70s look. I find that adding the detail of the top stitching at the outer seam really makes the style. It adds fluidity to the cut as it carries this vintage attitude to it. How many of you are fans of this cut? You can click here to purchase a similar style by MOTHER from REVOLVE.
RtA has definitely started to blur the lines between leather and denim with their Dylan leather pants and they are doing it again. A more subtle approach to the previous, the new Prince leathers have the feel of a classic pair of leather jeans with the on-trend frayed hem.
Just like the Dylan, these definitely have me excited to see people wear in as the more they are worn, the more the fray will have fluidity to the leather. I don’t know what goes on in the brains of the RtA team, but they are definitely headed in their right direction with the way they are designing. For this weeks look, I wanted to go for a slightly boho vibe with the J Brand 835 Mid Rise Capri in Exposure. They are still one of my favorite jeans that J Brand has ever created, well a great style that anyone has done to be honest. They have slight edge, yet have a versatility that can allow you to take it to different ends of the spectrum style wise.
I first started with choosing this Burberry Brit top as it has an airy feel to it, which lends well to the boho idea that I was going for. Then to continue that feel, choosing suede shoes was a no brainer and these Gianvito Rossi sandals are the perfect style for a look like this. But I couldn’t keep the look too “free-spirited” and added some edge with this studded Miu Miu belt. Also to add some attitude to the outfit is this Jennifer Meyer necklace. It is demure, yet provocative as it takes away focus due to its minimalism. I find edge in it that works really well with the look.
With the summer coming up, I think that we will be seeing more and more shorts by RE/DONE.
