D&G is always one to show denim in their line. They also showed tons of color, something that New York was definitely lacking and florals was a huge fixture in the show this season. They had the print in many lively colors such as lime green, pinks, reds, and yellow. The denim pieces of the collection consisted of some super wide-leg high-waisted jeans, a denim apron dress, and a blazer as well as a bag. They also featured a jacket with some denim piping.
I think this collection just oozes Spring. It just looks so cheerful, fun and easy. I find the styling of the show to be kind of hilarious. It looks to be inspired by Italian wine stompers or maybe jam makers. It makes me think of an I Love Lucy episode and if you’ve seen the show, you know what I’m talking about. You can check out some of the pieces from the collection below.
James Franco was seen doing some promotion for his new movie 127 Hours at the Toronto Film Festival. He chose to wear the Levi’s Heath jeans in Revival paired with their Austin Western Shirt to promote the new film. James Franco is one of my favorite actors. Not only because of his movies but that he actually puts his career on the back-burner to go to school. I think that is amazing of him.
I also can’t wait to see this movie. I remember hearing about this story a few years back and it really interested me. It is crazy that Aron Ralston (who the movie is based on) was able to withstand being trapped inside the canyon for that long. Click here to purchase these jeans at Levi’s for $98 and here to purchase his shirt for $59.50.
Artisan de Luxe has had quite a few visits lately by some reality stars. We last spotted Stephanie Pratt having a a little fun at their store. This time Bachelor Pad stars Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke were seen having a little fun themselves at their Melrose Avenue store. Artisan de Luxe also has some other great news. They are now on Twitter! You can follow them by clicking here.
The Donna Ida Denim Drive just happened earlier this week and it had a special appearance by Lily Allen. Lily and her sister, Sarah Owen, kindly went to the drive to help promote the partnership with the store as well as their own store, Lucy in Disguise, at the Westfield location. All the jeans that were donated at this event will be donated to the Jeans for Genes cause, which goes toward helping children with genetic disorders. I think this a great cause and I’m happy to see that it had such a great turn-out.
