Here is the new Pierre Balmain Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Though lower priced, the fashion house did not shy away from the luxury, cool aesthetic that is well associated with the brand.
For this season, the pieces were more minimal than the previous. The silhouettes were slim and body-con, yet had an ease to them. There are many great pieces. The jackets, like always from Balmain and Pierre Balmain, were perfection. The studded one above is to die for. I am also lusting over the canvas jacket with the shearling collar for the men. There is another piece that I am quite fond of and that is the harem pants. You can see the collection below.
Kristen Stewart was spotted on her way out of her hotel in Paris, France to go to dinner with boyfriend Robert Pattinson. She wore a pair of 7 For All Mankind Gummy Leggings in Grey with a Diesel button down SKIPI denim shirt.
It looks like Rob’s style rubbed off on Kristen here. I can see Rob wearing this whole look head-to-toe. I do think that it suits her very well though. You can click here to purchase 7 For All Mankind jeans from their website.
Cindy Crawford was spotted leaving the pharmacy in Beverly Hills, California. On her way out she ran into Rachel Zoe. She wore a pair of the J Brand 912 jeans in Heritage. I still think the wash of these jeans is amazing. The J Brand 912 jeans fit Cindy really well. It must feel great to have such long legs.
I would like to see Cindy wear a really bold pair of jeans, like the J Brand Zoey Triple Zip jeans or the Nikkos in Royal Blue. I think the Nikkos would look great on her. You can click here to purchase J Brand at Ssense.
The designs of Gareth Pugh are also pieces that I see more as art than actual clothing. The detail of these pieces is what amazes me. The cuts are just amazing. I find them to actually flatter the female form as opposed to just hanging on the body.
Like the collections from the previous seasons, the Fall/Winter 2012 had the same somber vibe. The pieces were kept dark, as well as the styling of the collection. Almost as though the models were bats flying in the night. You can see the collection below.
