Chanel walked this week in Paris and Karl Lagerfeld as usual did not disappoint. He had many outrageous looks this season, particularly the pink feather dress worn by one of the best models, Carmen Kass (this girl can sell sand). For this season, Karl switched up the faux furs from Fall for feathers while still keeping it classic Chanel with the tweeds, muted color palette, and clean silhouettes.
He also featured many great jeans this season. For the women they were printed with an ombre effect and for the men they were left clean. Karl also showed matching head-to-toe looks for both muse, Brad Kroenig and his son. How great is that? Baby Chanel. You can check out some of the looks below from the collection as well as the return of Ines de la Fressange on the Chanel runway.
Heidi Klum held her youngest daughter Lou as she made her way in to see her oldest one, Leni, at karate. Being the Paige Premium lover she is, she was spotted wearing another pair of their leggings. This time she chose to wear the new Lennox for the family outing. I think these are a great take of the panel trend and I think the faded black tone is great. They have a velvet finish with a tuxedo stripe, so they will dress up any look.
I have actually really fallen for faded black/gray jeans. At first I thought it was a wash that was very difficult to wear, but I was proven wrong. I recently got a pair of the Paige Blue Heights in Friction and they are amazing. I didn’t think they would go with a lot, but they do. I definitely recommend them if you haven’t tried. There is a new denim brand that is out there for the men and Private Stock Denim is the name. Private Stock is designed and owned by Jon Koon, who has had many roles in the fashion world including a part in launching Domenico Vacca’s new sportswear line called Domenico Vacca Denim. So I’m sure this brand will just be another success story for him.
The collection was inspired by his travel around the world. The denim fabric itself is custom weaved Japanese denim and colored with rare indigo dyes. From the distressing to the fit, each detail is constructed with a keen eye. They have styles for every need whether it’s for just lounging around or dressing up. The collection doesn’t just consist of jeans either, it also includes chic men’s shirts and bags.
I think the detail of these jeans is great, from the dark wash to the distressing. They have a natural worn-in look that I think is hard to achieve. I also think the detail on the back pocket is great to, which represents exclusivity and luxury, it is simple yet stands out. You can expect to see this line when it launches in Spring 2011.
Derek Hough was one of the many celebrities that attended the 7 For All Mankind Warehouse Sale. Even celebrities love a bargain here and there. It’s nice to see that the Dancing With The Stars fame hasn’t gone to his head. He was not wearing any clothing from the brand but he did pick up some stuff. Let’s hope we get some sightings in those.
Which couple(s) are you readers rooting for this season of Dancing With The Stars? I caught the second episode and I think Kyle Massey might be taking the trophy this season. I didn’t know that he moved that well.
