London Fashion Week probably has one of the best designers when it comes to the tailoring. The masterminds behind Peter Pilotto are just part of the new crop of designers that show it best each season.
The prints for the Spring 2012 collection, like the ones before it, were amazing. Designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos know their prints. They come up with the most original beautiful patterns ever. The ones from this season went from aquatic to floral and back into the aquatic theme. I am just in awe on how amazing the craftsmanship is in their clothing. You can click through the looks below.
I’ve been dying to see these ever since I heard about them a couple months back and they did not disappoint. These are the new AG Leather Pants, not to be confused for their Leatherette jeans. So many denim brands are branching out and are putting the waxed styles aside for some actual leather.
These come in their Legging fit. Who doesn’t love a skin tight pair of pants? Combined with leather for fall, they are sure to be a popular choice for the brand. How many of you readers have jumped on the leather wagon?
Here is a little backtracking back to the Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 show at New York Fashion Week. They did a 180 this season from the previous and showed looks that were all form fitting. More feminine shapes than the slouchiness of the past show. The shirts were slimmer and the skirts were fuller.
It seems like Hanne Gaby Odiele (above) had the best pieces this season. In all the shows that she walked her looks were amazing. The Proenza one wasn’t an exception either. I am in love with that shirt. It is seriously one of the best pieces I have seen all season. You can click through some of the looks below.
When I saw the new Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 Collection, the first thing I thought was “If Edie Sedgwick was still with us she would own this entire collection.” It just oozes a modern Edie to me with all the shift dresses, the Chanel-esque jackets, the fringe, feathers, and metallics.
This collection would have to be one of my favorites that Marc has designed. So easy and so fun, something that seems to be a trend this season for fashion week. That and sweaters, many shows are showing some great sweaters this season and I am just loving it. You can click the images below to see some of the looks.
