The denim jacket has become a staple for many men, but transitioning the classic light washed styles into Fall is a feat that can be a bit tricky. If you have this problem, J Brand has the solution as they have released their new Owen Jacket in printed and dark washed styles.
They have a coated camo (above), a coated navy (second), a worn green and a worn navy (last two). All styles can be worn fitted, layered under coats or as a statement piece by themselves. Which one is your favorite? You can click here to purchase these jackets from the J Brand website.
Alessandra Ambrosio attended The NARS Boutique opening in Los Angeles, California while wearing a pair of J Brand 811 Jeans in Kingdom Destroy. It has been some time since we caught Alessandra in J Brand. We recently have only seen her in either Siwy or Henry & Belle.
Gray is a trend that has slowly picked up for Fall and, I think, it will be big for the Winter as we are getting more sightings of the wash in countless styles. Many brands have a bigger range, from clean to distressed styles, as well as various shades. Are any of you readers wearing gray denim this season? You can click here to purchase these jeans from the J Brand website for $213.
For this styling post I decided to choose the Ksubi Van Winkle jeans in Wild Dog (click here to purchase) for the men. I thought choosing black would be a great choice so I can add a print or different texture to the looks without it looking busy. For the two outfits, I went for casual looks for both Winter and Fall.
The first look, I’d say, is the Winter look. Each look revolves around the jeans, but when I saw these Opening Ceremony shoes I was trying to figure out how I can incorporate them into an outfit and still add different textures without it leaning towards a mess. The only option I could think of was to keep it monochrome. I didn’t want to pair the jeans with just a plain t shirt as I wanted to break up all of the black, so I chose this Tailgate Clothing Co. t shirt. To add some interesting detail without going overboard, I chose this Alexander McQueen coat as the combo of the leather and wool, I find, plays really well with the jeans and shoes.
For the Fall look, I wanted it to be casual and still be a look that you don’t have to change out of if you decide to go out for a dinner. I also didn’t want the look to be monochrome, like the previous. I paired the jeans with a J. Crew cardigan, Tailgate Clothing Co. t shirt, and some Opening Ceremony Desert Boots. The boots and cardigan together help smarten the look up, but being that it is a cardigan, you would still look comfortable. Like always you can click the names of each item to purchase them for yourself.
It is great to get another sighting of Cheryl Cole. I remember a couple of years back when she would constantly make back-to-back appearances here on DenimBlog. I always liked that she was open to bolder styles and has a great style sense in general.
She was spotted in a pair of Textile Elizabeth and James Cooper Jeans in Olive Camo while making her way into the BBC Radio 1 Studios with her fellow band mates in London. When I saw her in these jeans, my first thought was “I cannot think of anyone else better suited for them.” The details of the zippers along with the camo print are perfect for her style. You can click here to purchase these jeans at SINGER22 for $228.
