Jessica Alba is the first to be seen in the neon trend. She was spotted wearing a pair from one of her favorite brands, 7 For All Mankind. She chose the Cropped Skinny jeans in Hot Neon Pink as she was spotted leaving a friends house in Los Angeles, California.
When I saw these, I was like, “Wow these are bright.” Which they should be because they are neon. I think when you are attempting to go all out and be really bold, you should go all the way. Which Sevens did and did it well.
Jessica also donned another new pair by Seven, the Skinny in Garden Party. Unfortunately there were no paparazzi shots, only a tiny picture that she posted on Twitter. I would like to see her wear those out again. You can click here to purchase these jeans from the 7 For All Mankind website for $169.
A very colorful collection walked down at the Fall/Winter 2012 Rebecca Minkoff show at New York Fashion Week this season. This has to be the happiest collection that I have seen, so far, walk down the runway. Yes the colors are Fall inspired, but there was a young vibe in the looks that helped give it life.
To make the show a little bit more fun, Theophilus London performed in head-to-toe leather. There were some great pieces. I think the peacoat above is a really great new take with the velvet paneling. The jacket from Look 20 is another amazing piece. You can see the collection below.
Thigh-high boots were all over the Helmut Lang Fall/Winter 2012 collection. At first I thought that it was paneled leggings, but quickly realized that they were boots. The detail in the prints were very different than any other show. One of them resembled scraped concrete in red and brown. The other interesting print looked to be tree bark. I think they were very innovative and amazing.
The silhouettes were classic Helmut Lang; slim and sleek. Skin-tight leather leggings tucked into boots, slim jackets, and body-con dresses. I think the look on Jourdan Dunn above is just amazing. Every single detail on it is perfect. It is clean and simple, but nowhere near boring. Plus, all black and leather is involved, so I may be partial. You can see more looks from the collection below.
Supermodels graced the runways at the Alexander Wang Fall/Winter 2012 show. Karolina, Shalom, Joan, Natasha, Carmen, Karmen, Frankie, and Gisele all ended the show in the closing segment. Having Gisele closing this season left many to wonder if a campaign is in the works.
This season featured looks that were a lot more refined and less sportswear than what we usually see from Alexander Wang. There were coats and leather galore as well as mesh ski masks to help kill the chill when the next winter season hits again. You can see the looks from the collection below.
