Beyonce was spotted at the airport in Nice, France. She wore a pair of J Brand Agnes jeans in Stealth. I’ve been waiting for her to wear these. I knew that she was going to get spotted in them sooner or later. These jeans have become quite popular lately. I feel like they are having their moment right now.
I actually quite like this look, especially the sunglasses. I’ve been looking for some round shades for the summer and I think these are ones that I need to try. I also like that she paired the jeans with a belt. I think a belt makes any pair of jeans look a bit better. They always give the illusion of them having a lower rise than they do. Customizing my jeans have always been something that I like to do. Whether it be adding some rips and tears, slitting the hem, adding stains, zippers or just doing something random to them. I don’t think I have a pair of jeans that are exactly the way I have got them, but that is what I love. They are my own and no one else’s. Here is a post of a pair of jeans that I did a few more customizations on than my others.
I recently received a pair of the J Brand Agnes Jeans in Black. I always wanted to try this style out. Being that they didn’t have pockets, I would always second guess purchasing these jeans. I finally decided to get the style because they are one of the amazing pairs out.
My first thought to do was to just add some pockets. Then I thought, “Hmmm…What else can I do to these to make them even more my own?” I then came to the conclusion to do a bit more than what I intended.
First thing I did was detach the third bottom portion off the jeans. This part was actually a lot easier than what I actually anticipated. I then switched the legs so that the zippers are placed at the inseam instead of at the outside of the jeans. I stitched the portion back to the rest of the jeans the way it was stitched before taking it apart so that it still had the same hold and motorcycle style.
After I finished sewing the legs back together, I slit the pocket panels under the hip zippers so there would be access to the pockets when it is unzipped. Then I got some pocket sacks and sewed them to the panels so there would be a place to hold my items. The only thing that I have wished I had done before hand was to dye the pockets black before I had attached them, but I can always detach and reattach them back on.
Now that I have finished making these jeans my own, they have become one of my favorites. I love that I can now put my personal belongings into the front pockets of the jeans and zip them up for safety. Now if only I can figure out how to wax these to give them a leather look? You can check out the photos below of the finished product.
Ashlee Simpson was spotted out with her family in Sherman Oaks, California. She wore her James Jeans Twiggy Leggings in Slate as they were caught walking into a party. I do like spotting Ashlee out and about. Not for her recent outfit pairings per se, but for how they actually fit her. She seems to always find perfectly fitting clothes, especially her jeans.
I really like her hat. I’ve been looking for a porkpie for quite a bit, but seem to have some difficulty finding it. I really like the color of hers. Do any of you readers by chance know who it is by? You can click here to purchase these jeans at Singer22 for $123.
The Theyskens’ Theory show is actually one that I wait for each season. Olivier Theyskens has really got everything perfect when it comes to design, styling, cut, wearability, and color in each and every season. This season was not an exception either. Like the other collections, Theory decided not to take face front photos an opted for an upper angled shot.
Keeping to the usual aesthetic of the past seasons, cool and simple was the main factor of the show. Another thing that is kept true to the fashion house seems to be the stray away of the skinny fit. Like the past seasons, the bottoms were kept baggy in forms of boyfriend jeans, wide-leg, and shorts. Ankles are always able to breathe in the Theykens’ Theory shows. The collection also featured a denim blazer, as well as many skirts and dresses. I think the flat ankle boots are great. I feel many people are going to want those as well as the wedges. This collection is very reminiscent of Sienna Miller and Lindsay Lohan in my opinion. I can see those two in many of these looks. You can check out some of the looks below.
