When I saw these on the AG Facebook page they immediately caught my attention, mostly due to the fact that anything red just stands out against anything. Many have fallen for the colored denim and waxed trends. So what could be better than to combine the two together?
These also come in black, but the red would have to be my favorite. What I love about them is that they are a waxed red skinny jean. So they mock the look of red leather. Which is even better! I am just a sucker for red leather. I don’t think these photos are doing the leather look justice though, like the other few that I have seen of them. When I mean they look like leather, these actually do.
AG has really stepped up the game with their styles for the upcoming fall season. We are used to seeing the worn, vintage looking styles for many seasons by them. I think when these and the other styles are available many of their diehard followers will be surprised. In good way. I hope to see these and the other styles on someone soon.
Taking a break from her tour, Miley Cyrus was spotted out and out in Melbourne, Australia. She wore a pair of The Faye jeans by the Hudson by Georgia May Jagger collaboration. I was on the border with these jeans. I’m not really too keen on the side lacing, but I do think they work. They are very unique and done really well.
I was always under the impression that Miley wanted to let go of her singing career. I thought I read somewhere that she is putting it on the back burner for good to focus on acting. I guess when you haven’t done something in a while you tend to miss it. How many of you are happy to hear that Miley is still making music? You can click here to purchase these jeans at Hudson for $308.
Rihanna was caught arriving back in California at LAX Airport. She wore a Nobody denim jacket with a tank, leggings and some Vans Classics. I love this look. One of my favorites, if not my favorite look on her. I like that she wore sneakers and I even think her red hair works with this look. It gives a nice contrast with the wash of the jacket. I love seeing the glam girls dress casual.
The wash of the jacket is just amazing. Nobody really needs to be available in the states. I have yet to see the brand at any stores here. They make such amazing washes and styles for their jeans. Are any of you fans of Nobody yet?
Keeping with the thoughts of using music as the inspiration, Olivier Rousteing chose Elvis in Vegas for the Balmain Resort collection. He chose Kasia Stuss to be the model for his first jab at womenswear since gaining the title of Creative Director.
The collection had a huge amount of detail put into it. Looking at the dresses it is just impeccable how much is in it. For example, the mini dress with the tribal print. That whole print has been embroidered on the dress itself. Just amazing.
One thing that I do have to say is that, I get McQueen a lot looking through the collection. With all the gold combined with the prints and white…it is just reminiscent of the fashion house. Though with that aside, the collection is still great. I love that they did trouser cuts this season. Those would have to be my favorite. They feature ankle zips and hidden pocket zippers at the hip. Olivier also brought back the leather hot pants with the multiple hip zippers, but cleaned them up for this collection. A new feature this season is also in the motorcycle jeans. The pleating on those are cut different and placed different than what is usual for Balmain. The line also features a pink pair and an amazing shirt with suede panels (image 15).
