Whitney Port was seen leaving the Neil George Salon after getting her hair done in Beverly Hills, California. She wore a pair of jeans (that we haven’t really spotted out) from Current/Elliott. They are the The Skinny in Bleached Out Night. Whitney must have had these for a while since they are a few seasons old.
Whitney will soon make her film debut in What to Expect When You’re Expecting. There are some big names attached to this film, such as Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz. So I wonder how Whitney will hold her own when the film is released? You can click here to purchase Current/Elliott at Singer22.

Okay…this collection has gotten some not so great reviews by the masses. I have to say that it is not as bad as people are putting it out to be. Maybe it is due to the fact that I look at the pieces individually instead of all together when I look at the photos for fashion week. Individually the pieces work, all together…better styling could have helped, I will admit. I think a slicked back ponytail or a pin-straight middle parting would have done better justice. He also had some fit issues, but nothing a client cannot fix themselves.
I also think it is a hodge podge of many other designers. Mostly Mugler, Gareth Pugh, Rick Owens, with some Balenciaga, Pucci, and Celine. Many found this the biggest issue. I have to point out though, when a mood board is put together; are designers not inspired by looks that other designers put together in the photos? You are not going to see a Native American wear Michael Kors or Frida Kahlo wear Moschino or even a Gypsy wear Pucci. So Kanye is not the only one who is guilty of this. Case in point, many get inspired by what others create. It is just made more apparent because of the name he possesses. Overall…I think the collection is not as bad as people think. You can click through some of the looks from the debut DW by Kanye West Spring 2012 show below and maybe next season we will see if Kanye just possesses great style or actually has an eye for talent.
This is probably my favorite collection of all of fashion month, along with Phillip Lim and Peter Pilotto. Haider Ackermann actually is my favorite fashion house of all time. He uses the inspiration from himself and pajamas and designs them in a wearable way that they work outside the bed.
For his Spring 2012 collection he incorporated looks with a sense of rockability. Instead of going literal he kept the hair a bit more loose and the shoes a bit more soft. I love that look above. I want it in my closet at this moment. I just love every single piece in the look, the hoodie, the leather vest, the blazer, the pants, it is just perfect. I also love every single pair of plimsolls. They are probably one of the best footwear I have seen. This is what Paris Fashion Week should look like. Something you lust for and want at this moment, but know you can’t unless you have a big name like Janet Jackson. You can check out the amazing collection below.
I have to say that I am not too much of a fan of this collection, but it is not bad, I just don’t like the university theme in the beginning. I much prefer the darker looks, especially the one above. I love that she always incorporates a sense of boho each season though.
The collection featured some tie-dyed, graffiti, and patched jeans as well as some amazing knits. I think they are great pieces, but there seems to be a lack of luxury that her previous collection possessed. It just seems so accessible this season.
