I still get amazed at how much of a force Victoria Beckham has become in the fashion world as a designer. I love that she can show two different silhouettes for both of her lines and still have them look true to herself. I also like that she can show humorous prints and still have them feel like her.
For her Fall/Winter 2012 Victoria by Victoria Beckham collection, Victoria Beckham showed many classic shift silhouettes with fun and classic prints. I can see many young girls wearing this line, especially Alexa Chung. I can see her in Looks 8, 13 and the one above. You can see the collection below.
A very furry collection walked down at the Fall/Winter 2012 Mulberry show at London Fashion Week. This was a huge departure from the previous season. It is more structured and less ethereal. There was a bit of a toughness this season that I would have never expected to see by Mulberry.
I think the textiles are great. One thing that I love about the shows in London are the prints. They are always so whimsy and graphic. Another thing that surprisingly caught my eye were the shoes. I think that many ladies will like them. You can see the collection below.
I was instantly taken away when I saw the new Fall/Winter 2012 collection by Proenza Schouler. It was definitely one of my favorites that walked this season in New York and I think it is the best that they have ever shown. So refreshing to see a collection that was taken to a different level and still look very wearable. I find this collection to be very worthy of showing in Paris.
What was not amazing about this Far East inspired collection. Every piece was made so well and the exaggerated oversized silhouettes were refreshing to see. It is a toss up for my favorite piece. I’m not sure which was better, the jacket above or the longer maroon colored version? Both were definitely standouts and are sure to be pulled for many shoots, actually this whole collection is sure to be favored by the magazines. The wrapped skirts were also really great pieces. You can see the collection below.
3.1 Phillip Lim is one of the few that swayed away from the array of the stripes trend this season and opted for graphic paneling and printing.
This is the most feminine collection I have ever seen by Phillip Lim. I think it is refreshing to see a super feminine collection at New York Fashion Week. I really like the color palette. It starts off black, navy, and white, then the teals and oranges pop out of nowhere. It was a really nice surprise. You can see the collection below.
