The berry-tone color of these is so amazing. I also like that she cuffed them. I think they strangely look great with the matching colored shoes. These need to be caught on more people, like Kristen Stewart. They are just so great.

We got the chance to do an exclusive live interview with Self Edge founder, Kiya Babzani. We talked about how he got his start, what got him interested in denim, how he came up with the name Self Edge, and more. You can see a few of the questions below:
DB: How did you get your start?
KB: I’ve had an interest in vintage clothing and denim for many years, far before my wife and I opened the first Self Edge almost six years ago in San Francisco. I found that the Japanese were doing reproductions of classic American styles better than the Americans themselves and wanted to bring some of those brands state-side.
DB: How did you come up with the name Self Edge?
KB: Self Edge is a reference to the word “selvedge”. Before the 20th century the edge of the fabric (denim in our case) was called “the self edge”. It was later shortened from “self edge” to “selvedge”. There are still some old tailors that you’ll run into that still call it “self edge fabric”.
DB: What got you interested in denim?
KB: I got really into rockabilly in the mid-90′s and sought out clothing that matched the music. Vintage jeans, johnny-collar shirts, etc… On some trips to Asia I discovered a few Japanese brands which were reproducing these vintage styles of jeans and shirts but had improved them very slightly and the production quality was something I’d never seen before. That coupled with the fact that denim itself is such an interesting fabric I became more and more obsessed with jeans and classic 1950′s style American garments.
It is so great to finally learn how Kiya came up with the name Self Edge. I never would have thought that is was just another form of the word “selvedge.” You can see more of the interview like his jewelry line and his thoughts on resin treatments by clicking here.

Kristen Stewart was spotted on her way out of a restaurant in Paris, France after doing a photo shoot for Vanity Fair. She wore what seems to be her new favorite jeans, a pair of the Victoria Beckham Powerskinny jeans in Graphite. She paired the jeans with the Dilllon Jacket by Rails. I know Kristen loves her jeans, but I would like to see her wear some leather pants. So many brands have come out with some styles that I think will look great on her.
I am assuming this is a couture shoot. She has been seen out wearing some extreme duds and accessories. I just love the irony of Kristen Stewart being such a big force in the fashion world. She is one that doesn’t have a care in the world with the way she looks on a regular day, but the business loves her. I especially love that she is the new face of one of my all time favorite fashion houses, Balenciaga. I think she is a great choice. Balenciaga is not a brand for the super girly and Kristen is just that. You can click here to purchase these jeans at Shopbop for $210.

I love it when celebrities pull out an old pair of jeans to get some air, especially when they are from many years ago. Case in point…Gwen Stefani. She is the next celebrity to be caught wearing a pair of Current/Elliott Cropped Skinny jeans in Dark Cloud. The last time I remember seeing Gwen in these, was around the time she wore them during her Elle feature a few years back.
I think this is a really great look. Well…Gwen Stefani never looks anything less than amazing. That is kind of a hard feat for her to attempt. I am not a fan of matching shoes with your top, but Gwen somehow made me like it here. The different tones of gray are really great together.
