It seems like it is going to be a cool Spring in 2012. Mulberry has been added to the list of designers to show some cold weather clothing for spring. It had sweaters, jackets and lets not forget the thermal leggings in some of the looks.
The Spring 2012 Mulberry collection is probably the sweetest collection that I have seen. Let it be the color palette, the cuts, or styling. I can see the Fanning sisters in many of the looks from this show. Designer Emma Hill didn’t keep it too sweet though. She toughened up the looks with leather jackets and a disheveled bouffant. Can Christopher Bailey ever send down a Burberry collection that is less than immaculate? Probably never and I hope he never does. I die each season when I see the Burberry collections and the Spring 2012 is no different. The inspiration of the Nordic Fisherman carried over from the Resort collection to Spring. It was heavy in rope (not actual) detailing and featured a unique spotted one.
I love the parkas. Nothing beats them in my opinion. I love that Christopher Bailey incorporated different styles of outerwear other than the classic trench that we are used to from the English fashion house. I would own every single jacket. Whether it be from the women’s or men’s. The one above would have to be my favorite. The print is just to die for and fresh. When do you see a printed parka done with such an amazing print? London Fashion Week probably has one of the best designers when it comes to the tailoring. The masterminds behind Peter Pilotto are just part of the new crop of designers that show it best each season.
The prints for the Spring 2012 collection, like the ones before it, were amazing. Designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos know their prints. They come up with the most original beautiful patterns ever. The ones from this season went from aquatic to floral and back into the aquatic theme. I am just in awe on how amazing the craftsmanship is in their clothing. You can click through the looks below.
I’ve been dying to see these ever since I heard about them a couple months back and they did not disappoint. These are the new AG Leather Pants, not to be confused for their Leatherette jeans. So many denim brands are branching out and are putting the waxed styles aside for some actual leather.
These come in their Legging fit. Who doesn’t love a skin tight pair of pants? Combined with leather for fall, they are sure to be a popular choice for the brand. How many of you readers have jumped on the leather wagon?
