The Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2012 collection is probably the most whimsical that has ever walked New York Fashion Week… EVER. I found it to be a really fun one to look at. The color palette was great. It was refreshing to see the bubblegum pink.
You can’t deny that the Dr. Seuss hats were for sure the stand out of the whole show, probably all of Fashion Week. I strangely like them a lot. I can see the magazines already doing pulls for them to shoot on Karlie Kloss. The shapes were also pretty amazing. They had the essence of vintage couture from the greats. We rarely, if ever, see pieces like these in a RTW line. After seeing this, I m interested in seeing what Marc does for Louis Vuitton. You can see the whimsiness in all it’s glory below.
Nicole Richie is back in her James Twiggy Jeans in Black Clean. She paired them with a white off the shoulder sweater and gray scarf and some House of Harlow Killian shoes to go pick son Sparrow up from school in Los Angeles, California.
Are you guys excited to see Nicole’s new show Fashion Star? The show sounds very interesting. I like that the pieces will be available to be purchased after each episode. You can click here to purchase these jeans from the James Jeans website for $120.
Lindsay Lohan is back on DenimBlog. It’s been a while since we had a sighting of her. She was spotted arriving at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California. She wore a pair of the Rag & Bone Bell jeans in Cognac. I have been waiting for someone to be caught in colored flares again and for Lindsay to be caught in Rag & Bone. It was only a matter of time for her to be caught in one of the biggest brands out.
I love this wash. I love any jeans in a brown tone in general. I find them to be very versatile. You can wear them with anything. I got my new Rag & Bone Skinny Cords in Whiskey the other day and I love them. The color is amazing. I have a huge feeling that I will be living in them for some time. I sized up for a slouchy fit (I think cords should be on the slouchier side) and they fit exactly how I want them. I definitely recommend them if you haven’t tried them out yet. You can click here to purchase these jeans from their website for $176.

For Rachel Zoe’s first runway show, she sent down a bevy of Rachel Zoe’s at her Fall/Winter 2012 Show at New York Fashion Week. The celebrity stylist-turned-designer sent down looks that were true to her own style, clean, sleek, and chic. There was no strand of hair out of place.
What Rachel does best, in my opinion, is the tailoring. She knows how to fit clothing for women. The suits were impeccably well done, my favorites in her collection. She also sent down some denim, a pair of super wide-leg high-rise gauchos and a pair of skinny jeans tucked into boots. Another stand out were the leather flares in Look 23. Those were perfection. I would like to see Rachel wear those out herself. You can see the looks from the collection below.
