Kate Hudson in Frankie B.
Back from their European trip, Kate Hudson was seen dropping off son Ryder for his first day of school. She was wearing a pair of the Limited Edition Frankie B. jeans in Celian. I like that Kate tends to stick to lighter washed, vintage inspired jeans. It’s true when you find a great style you should always stick with it. We have spotted her wearing jeans by Levi’s, AG Jeans and Textile Elizabeth and James jeans, which all have vintage inspirations. Instead of the Levi’s, those were actually vintage.
I also like that she prefers to wear flares over skinny jeans, even during the skinny jeans craze. I just think flares are such a great fit on her. They suit her personality more, I believe. Are you readers also a fan of Kate’s style?
Trend Alert: Panel Denim
A trend that the celebs seem to love is the Panel Trend. I remember the first time seeing this look was on Lily Allen. She was wearing a pair of gray Superfine Legging jeans with black jersey stretch panels placed on the inseam. Who knew she would have been the front runner of this trend? Now many brands have followed behind with their own versions.
This trend, I believe, is a more polished take on the patchwork and repaired trend. But instead of having dispersed patches all over the jeans, these panels are placed to add a little more detail and some are even placed to give an illusion. What is the illusion? Slimmer legs! Everyone wants those. There are tons of styles, but check out the few styles below from Cheap Monday, Erin Wasson x RVCA, 7 For All Mankind, Victoria Beckham Denim, Helmut Lang, and of course Superfine. Christina Aguilera in Denimocracy
Christina Aguilera was spotted with son Max after having some dinner over the weekend in Venice Beach, California. She was wearing a pair of black Denimocracy Amarie denim leggings. These really do look like leggings, but they are in fact just very stretchy denim.
Christina seems to be a big fan of Denimocracy leggings, she has also been spotted wearing their electric blue tie-dyed jeggings before. She also seems to love her Alexander Wang bags. Gabe Saporta in Double Denim
Gabe Saporta was seen walking the green carpet at the USTA and Heineken’s 2010 US Open Player Party. He was wearing two of the biggest trends for the men this year. He was wearing a denim shirt and paired it with a pair of cuffed denim trousers. I actually like his look here. The colors work very well together and I actually like the denim trousers. I didn’t think I would have ever liked them.
Gabe seems to be a fan of pairing gray and blue denim together. We have spotted him wearing the double denim look in these colors before. I think he wore them better this time around, though.
