Spring has sprung (well in California) and what better way to start it off than by styling a denim jacket. It’s been a while since I did a post on styling a denim jacket and I thought it would be a great idea to do another one. I chose the Genetic Ryder Jacket in Bone because of its not so stark wash. This makes it the perfect transitional piece to wear from Winter to Spring. Plus the leather sleeves add that little bit more to the look, but in a very subtle way.
The maxi dress and denim jacket is a classic Spring look, but I wanted to amp it up a bit more with the accessories to make it a more transitional look. Yes I paired the look here with these Rag & Bone sandals, but you can easily switch it out with some slouchy ankle boots in the Winter.
It is nice to know that we are starting to see more variety of fits by Rag & Bone on the celebrities. I find the washes that they create for their boyfriends to be amazing. They have a natural vintage quality to them that is always a plus for me when it comes to distressing. How many of you are fans of their boyfriend styles? I have to say that I am not the biggest fan of how these pants look on Elle. Usually I am a fan of everything she wears because it just looks amazing on her, but with these, I prefer them to be more slouchy and straight-leg fitting like on Jessica Biel instead of skintight. Vanessa Hudgens posed with her Spring Breakers castmates for a promotional shot in their matching varsity jackets. The actress opted to wear her jacket with a pair of the Joe’s Jeans Skinny Leather Pants in Fiery Red.
Vanessa’s style has been quite interesting lately, so it has made me very intrigued in seeing how she would wear a pair of leather pants. I like that she went all out with her choice by choosing a vibrant red pair and did a great job with the styling by pairing them with a simple white button up and a necklace.
I hope to see Vanessa wear these again soon. Just to get a better shot to see how they fit her and how else she would style them because I love them myself. I have them in black and I am insanely obsessed with them. You can click here to purchase these pants from the Joe’s Jeans website for $347.
