Jonathan Rhys Meyers in AG Adriano Goldschmied
Another amazing pair of AG jeans have been spotted. The people at AG really know how to do the whiskering with their jeans. They just add so much depth to the look with each pair of not just their jeans but also their chinos as well.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers was seen doing some shopping in London. He jumped on the repair trend and wore a pair of AG Adriano Goldschmied Protégé in 12 Years Mend. This is the second time we spotted Jonathan in AG. He was wearing the Protégé in 25 Year Destroy in the last sighting. This seems to be the favorite fit among the men. Zac Efron in Balmain Homme
I never would have thought I would have ever seen Zac Efron in Balmain. I thought he might have been spotted in a pair of Dior Homme on the streets before these. Maybe it shouldn’t have been such a surprise, he is a true denim addict and Balmain is the brand that all of us love.
He joined fellow Balmainians Kate Moss, Kanye West and Lindsay Lohan by wearing a pair of the khaki knee padded pair (but I think he took the padding out) during his European promotional tour for his movie Charlie St. Cloud. I think these are a great fit, like many of his jeans, and I think that the khaki is great choice. I just love khaki right now. Now if only Zac would persuade girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens to try a pair like he has done with Diesel and Nudie. I think she would be a great sighting in a pair of Balmain. Russell Brand in Waxed Jeans
I said before that the waxed trend wasn’t just for the ladies and of course Russell Brand would be one of the first men to be spotted in it. He was spotted at LAX Airport after being in New York filming his new movie Arthur for a couple months.
His jeans didn’t just have the trend of the moment but also another, distressed. I’ve always wondered what waxed denim would look like distressed. I actually don’t think it is that bad. Though I wouldn’t wear it myself. But they suit Russell’s style perfectly, I think he is the only one that can probably pull these off. What do you readers think of the waxed trend? Will you guys be jumping on it next season? Will you men be wearing them also?
G-Star Raw Women’s Spring 2011
G-Star’s collection also had many great pieces for the women. They had a variety of shorts, jeans, jackets and jumpsuits. There was even an evening dress, which they call the “Kalahari Dress.” It has a raw denim bodice with a very voluminous free-flowing bottom. The tailoring was amazing, especially on the structured denim pieces like the vest and jackets. I also thought the washes were great. They had some really amazing worn-in light washes. Something that I don’t usually associate with them.
Overall, I think this collection is going to be a big hit. I see the shorts in particular being a big one, the jacket above looks like it will be a favorite as well. I can see it on celebrities such as Liv Tyler and Jessica Alba. I also really liked the styling. It looks like it was inspired by G-Star fan, Gwen Stefani. I can see her rocking many of these pieces, especially the parachute pants and their boyfriend jeans. You can check out the women’s denim looks below from the desert inspired G-Star Raw collection.
