Vests are a controversial piece for me. Other than the classic menswear style, I find many can very easily make or break an outfit, but Citizens of Humanity came out with one of the coolest ones that I just couldn’t resist writing about. From the shape to the details, it has a feel that I just love.
The shape is something that I love most about it because it is very masculine and tough. It has a cocoon-ish shape which is something that I think every oversized vest should have. It’ll make your day-to-day look cooler, whether it be throwing it over something like a sweatshirt or plaid button-up or just a t shirt. I can definitely see this piece being favored by CoH fans like Drew Barrymore and Rihanna. You can click here to purchase this vest from Shopbop for $328.
I find it a bit of a shock to see that Victoria designed a pair of raw jeans. But I guess she is more of a denim head than we think. She did have three previous lines before this. With one amazement out of the way, on to another. These jeans fit Victoria to a T! Other than Kate Hudson or Kate Moss, I have not seen a pair of flares fit someone this well. You can click here to purchase these jeans from her recently launched e-commerce for $325 and if you are interested in her camisole, get it here at Net-A-Porter for $575.
J Brand has reinvented the cargo pants yet again for Spring. For this season they updated the style with welt pockets at the hips and smaller side pockets. Another change is the addition of darts at the knees instead of the a moto-stitching that was prominent in their previous styles.
I find these details give them a more sleeker, more feminine vibe than the previous styles that J Brand has released. There is a toughness without the heavy feel that some cargos can have. What do you think of this new take on the cargo pants? You can click here to purchase them from the J Brand website.
Jennifer Garner was spotted getting breakfast with her children in Santa Monica, California. The actress wore a pair of jeans by a brand that we haven’t seen her in before, the Textile Elizabeth and James Stills in Lovesick.
I think these jeans fit Jennifer really well and are right on with the straight-leg trend (or as I say, “the skinny jean from when the skinny jeans first came in around 10 years ago”) that is slowly starting to creep back up in the market. I don’t think that skinny jeans will be going anywhere, but it is refreshing to see styles that let the ankles breath for the moment. I am all for the style if they fit as well as these. Then again, I have never known a pair by Textile that I didn’t like. You can click here to purchase these jeans ON SALE from REVOLVEclothing for $146.
