It’s that time again for the men, Fashion Week for the Fall 2012 collections. Burberry is one of my highlights each season for both the men and women collections.
This season was inspired by old Sherlock Holmes series. It is probably one of the dandiest collections that you’ll see. Newsboy caps, slim suits, and velvet. Christopher Bailey made sure that the collection didn’t look dated either. He incorporated fisherman jackets to keep it looking from this decade. Everything about this collection is perfect. You can check out the looks below.
Dolce & Gabbana brought back their silk pajamas for their new men’s Fall 2012 collection. I have to say that I was a huge fan of them and I’m happy to see them again this season. The one above would have to be my favorite. That whole look is just perfect. If I had it, I would probably be running some quick errands in it. If not the whole look, probably each piece separately.
I will admit that the Napoleon inspired print on the jackets and sweaters can be a bit much on some of the looks, but I did think that it worked really well on the varsity jacket, the one above and a few of the sweaters. The collection had the classic Dolce & Gabbana Oliver Twist vibe to it. Though this season the pants and jeans had a lower drop-crotch than usual. There was also their classic heavy knits and newsboy caps (those seem to be a mini-trend this season for the men). You can see a few of the looks below.
Here is the new Textile Elizabeth and James Spring 2012 collection modeled by Abbey Brothers. The looks were styled by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen themselves and feature hand-painted Supergas (they are creative-directors) to match the color scheme of the line perfectly.
This collection was so unexpected…in a good way. There are lots of prints that I never would have thought I would see from Textile. Then again I shouldn’t be too surprised. They did come out with neon and I never thought I would have seen those. Back to this collection now. The jeans had snake, floral, and tie-dye print. There were even some studded shorts. Those studded Ruby shorts along with the tie-dye Debs would have to be my favorite jeans.
The jeans weren’t the only great pieces. The slouchy tanks and sweaters also caught my eye, especially the tie-dye sweater that is paired with the Sunny Lime Ruby Shorts. These are just great clothes that I think many would love to wear during the weekend. You can check out the full collection below and click here to purchase some of the pieces at Shopbop now.
Bar Refaeli was spotted out and about in Paris, France. She wore a pair of Rag & Bone Legging jeans in Ruby Red. I like the gray with the red jeans, but I have never been a fan of black tees with red jeans. I always found the contrast to be a bit harsh. I do think that a black blazer looks great with them though.
I wonder if Bar is in Paris to do some fittings. Maybe we will see her on the runways again. I think the last and only time I remember her walking was in the Louis Vuitton show a couple of seasons back. You can click here to purchase Rag & Bone at Shopbop.
