Though it is 4th of July weekend, I didn’t want to do a look for say a pool party, but one for a nighttime bbq. The High Rise in Black Rebel is one of my favorite styles that Rag & Bone has come out with recently. They have just the right amount of distressing for a casual look for men and they will look better as you wear them out more and more, which is why I chose them to style this week.
For the overall look, this is something that I would wear and have worn. I paired the jeans with a longline t shirt from TOPMAN because there is this edge that it adds to looks that I find very unique at the moment. To layer over and add more casualness, a sweater by AMI. I chose green just to add subtle contrast to the overall monochrome look. Then to finish the outfit off, a hat by Stussy and a pair of the new Yeezy 350 Boosts. The updated moccasin vibe mixed with the concept of a running shoe gives this this look a vibe that they can only do.
Rita Ora took the stage at The Graham Norton Show to belt out her new single Poison in London. The singer wore her favorite Citizens of Humanity Corey Slim Straight in Bourbon with a fringe leather jacket and her signature platform boots.
This wash would have to be my favorite next to their Outpost wash. Citizens just makes such amazing blues that I find are so versatile and elevate all the looks that they are paired with. Alexa Chung was caught making her rounds at Glastonbury in Somerset, United Kingdom. The model paired together a jacket from her new Alexa Chung for AG collection with a pair of vintage Lee shorts. She finished her look off with a Barbour jacket and a Glastonbury staple, Hunter wellies.
I am excited to see what Alexa will be coming up with for her new collection. I think this is a great jacket and from little snaps here and there, there is also suede pieces added to the collection. Suede is definitely a textile that will work well in reinterpreting her vintage aesthetic for the new season. How many of you are looking forward to seeing the new collection? Since MOTHER released The Pixie style, I have been waiting for the brand to do them in a distressed wash. With the exposed button-fly, I always got a ’70s vibe that I thought distressing would take to another level.
MOTHER listened to what I have been waiting for with their new Echoes wash in the cut. The style has been given an edge with a torn knee, but it didn’t take away from the original vibe that the cut gave off. It still feels clean with a look that is updated for the new warmer season.
