I wanted to choose a pair of jeans that were a bit different from the usual classic cut and the Slash jeans by Hudson are just that. The exposed zip and the lace-ups on the side add a cool vibe to them that is edgy and modern. The details standout, yet being kept tonal to the wash of the jeans, it keeps them versatile and can take you from chic to something more casual. See the three ways I styled them below.
I wanted to take these jeans to a more feminine route with this look here, something that is very prim. I chose to pair the jeans with a t shirt by Rag & Bone and boots by Saint Laurent. I then added a few feminine touches to the look with a coat by Scotch & Soda and a Vita Fede cuff to finish it all off.
I wanted to go for something that was a little in between with this look here. Something that still felt chic while still having a casual sense. Pairing the jeans with an old school pair of Adidas Superstars was the first thought. The cropped fit along with the details gives off a Parisian chic vibe when paired with the sneakers. As I am not the biggest fan of pairing together white shoes with a white top, I went for a black men’s t-shirt by Theory for the slouch that it’ll offer. Then to pull it all together and take it away from casual, a long tailored coat by TOPSHOP.
This is the most casual of the looks, but unlike most of the my other takes on casual, I chose a pair of Sam Edelman ballet flats as the shoe of choice. We don’t see much of them lately and I find that they play off the jeans really well. To keep that casual/Marant-feel going, I chose a slouchy sweater by TOPSHOP (similar) and a woven belt by Caputo & Co.. Then to finish the look, a heavy knit scarf by White + Warren to keep the chill away.
-From running errands to heading to a meeting, how many of you are looking to update your classic looks with a pair like these?
Rag & Bone is definitely one to look at when it comes to distressed styles. The team just knows how to take a modern approach to vintage inspirations and keep the vibe of their jeans feeling organic.
With their new Surfer Repair wash, the jeans are just as the name says. The wash feels as though you have been trekking through the coastal sands in your favorite jeans and building a story along the way. They have tears of what would be from climbing the rocks and patches underneath to give off the vibe as though you are just not ready to part with them just yet. They are truly a well thought out pair that I can see becoming just another popular jean by the label. You can click here to purchase these jeans from Intermix and the Rag & Bone website.
Sienna Miller stopped for the cameras at the Just One Eye’s Ulysses Tier 1: The Ultimate Disaster Relief Kit event in Los Angeles, California. The actress wore one of the brands of the moment, a pair of the RE/DUN Slim Straight Jeans, with some sandals and a boyfriend blazer.
I like her play on masculinity here and the way she offset it with the bodysuit and sandals. The size of the jeans that Sienna chose is also something that I am favoring. We usually see them more fitted as the brand is known for taking vintage styles and tailoring, but she kept the authenticity of them by wearing them slouchy. What do you think of the way Sienna wore the jeans? You can click here to purchase RE/DUN from their site.
Miley Cyrus played coy with the cameras as she was on her way into the Hublot “Time Is Beautiful” event in Miami, Florida. The singer wore her staple vintage Levi’s shorts with a marijuana printed shirt and her infamous vintage Chanel bag.
I do enjoy that Miley has fun with fashion. She is not afraid to make a statement with what she wears and knows when it is appropriate to do certain things. As she is at Art Basel, I do think this look works because it is a fun event about art. How many of you also feel the same about Miley’s style sense?
