GQ ran this shot in September, and I think it is one of the best versions of ripped/worn jeans I have seen in a while.
I can’t bring myself to buy “pre-ripped” jeans.
I was looking at a few pairs of my old jeans (the ones I was debating whether to taper the leg or to leave full) and realized that I have a very specific wear pattern to my jeans that is as personal as a fingerprint (and probably everyone does). Now that I realize it - I would feel self-conscious wearing ripped jeans that didn’t have the fraying on the right thigh left by my keys, or the abrasions on the coin pocket. I was surprised that even the stitching on the back pocket of the jeans was popped in the same manner and location on both pairs (stupid wallet).
Is there a rinse that I can use to slightly “re-darken” the denim?
I think the color now is great, but they will only get lighter and I want to keep them in them close to this shade.

I haven’t posted any fashion No-No’s for some time. But these are almost as bad as the thong jeans we posted awhile back. I figured a great way to end the year/begin the year would by a great big belly roll looking at these DENIM underwear! Here are some Rufskin Denim Briefs. I think that all men want is a Denim Diaper loaded with buckles and ya know, METAL under their clothes. I’m sure they’d rather wear Ladies Thongs first. Read on, if you dare, for more giggles y’all. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

I love Helena Bonham-Carter, fiancé of Tim Burton. Her fashion taste is eccentric and eclectic. Likewise, are her movie roles. She is Bellatrix Lestrange, the voice of the corpse bride, and coming next, she will be The Red Witch in the newest Alice in Wonderland. Sadly, it’s not set to open until March 2010. I’m so excited! That was my favorite childhood movie!
Anyway, back to the dish, here is Helena with her chubby little baby, Nell, in her reconstructed and embellished Levi’s. (This was my full-time job before blogging on designer denim!) Very cool Helena!

A slim (yet frowny looking) Jennifer Love Hewitt finishes lunch at Paparazzi hot-spot ‘The Ivy’ and then goes shopping. J Love is wearing J Brand skinny low-rise jeans in Bayou wash. Everyone looks great in those jeans! I’ve yet to see anyone look bad in them. J Brand does it so right!

Viridis Luxe had some really rad denim contributions for Los Angeles Fashion Week. Some were No-No’s and some were fabulous. The continuation and theme seemed to be simply cuffed jeans- regardless of the level of distressing. The collection has some very apparent peaks and valleys. Overall, I’m impressed with denim and I wonder how it compares price wise to Alexander Wang.
Amy Winehouse was spotted enjoying her tropical vacation in Saint Lucia. I’m really are thrilled to see her looking healthier and even more thrilled to see her wearing some CLEAN designer denim shorts! What do you think of Amy in her Sevens?

Desperate Housewife Marcia Cross sported a pair of AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans with some UGG boots recently. Even though I’m not a huge fan of UGGs, she looks cute and wintery!
