If you haven’t heard or seen it already, Pantone releases a projected color report for each season using a collection of its colors for one full palette. The collection consists of a few different shades of a few different colors and is also based off of collections seen on the runway.
I love color palettes and I respect people that create them for a living because it’s definitely not as easy as it looks, therefore I wanted to highlight this Fall’s color palette from Pantone.
Now, don’t take this palette too seriously, you are not BOUND to these colors until Spring 2015 hits, it’s just fun to see what colors are on trend and maybe it will prompt you to experiment with new shades this season. What colors are you wearing this Fall? Read More >
Fall tends to be everyone’s favorite season and I can most definitely see why. Aside from pumpkin everything, leaves turning beautiful colors, and a break from the heat, it’s the only other season besides Spring that you can mix your Summer and Winter wardrobe to make some killer outfits.
Fall is different in every city of course, in London and NY it cools down drastically, the south stays pretty humid, and LA…well, it’s like the desert moved in for a few months. It gets really hot (like heat wave of 100 degrees, hot), ridiculously dry (think bloody noses) and we get our lovely Santa Ana winds (aka our version of a Hurricane). I don’t know about anyone else in LA, but I always envy those East coasters in their coats, scarves and pumpkin spice lattes because I’m over here sweating worse than I did in August with anything I can find to cool me down.
On the flip side, being an LA native I’m used to this sort of weather and it actually is a little comforting when those Santa Ana’s kick up. To me, that’s our Fall and it gives me all sorts of warm and fuzzies inside, just like it would for someone sitting by their fireplace.
Layering can be tricky out here because it gets so hot and those temperatures can drop just as fast as they rise, so it’s better to layer lightly so you can shed it off or put more on if need be. I chose to highlight the key layering pieces for Fall in LA, mostly denim and a couple miscellaneous pieces, and what to pair them with. Of course, anything can be layered with a t-shirt or tank top, but the build is the best part. Take a look and try some of these out for yourself! Read More >
When it comes to fashion week, the street style has become just as notorious as the shows themselves. Not only can you get amazing inspiration from the shows you attend, but you can now get all the eye candy you need outside of them too. Here are 4 looks we found at Paris Fashion Week that we are DYING to recreate.
We are in it folks. We are in the middle of fashion week mania and we’ve got all your denim coverage, well, covered! I always love seeing how designers incorporate denim into their collections and where the denim trends go along with the rest. They are just as apart of fashion week as any other fabric and make more appearances than you realize. Below is coverage on all things denim for NYFW Spring ’15. I hope to introduce you to some new designers and also give you coverage from your favorites as well.
