Now that it is officially summer, what better time to break out your white denim? I figured it would be a perfect time to review these Hudson Mia Flares.

My first impression of these jeans was how nicely they fit, I got my regular size and they fit true to size. With a 9″ rise, the Mia is a true mid-rise and hits right past the hip bones. They are a true flare style, with a slim fit in the hips, thighs and knee, then flaring just below the knees. They do have a 35″ inseam which is long enough for me to wear flats or low heels with.

Next, I was impressed with the fabric content. I am always afraid that white jeans are going to be too sheer and see through. These have a nice mid-weight fabric blend, so they offer a nice amount of coverage and are not sheer at all. The fabric blend is 91.5% cotton, 6% Polyester, and 2.5% Lycra, so they do have a decent amount of stretch and shaping qualities. However, they have kept their shape after a few wears.

In terms of details, the front does have two mock pockets, as well as a mock coin pocket. I’d imagine this was a well thought out design note to avoid seeing the pocket linings and keep the fit really sleek and snug. Though the front pockets are mock, these jeans do have the classic 5 pocket design, with three front pockets and two large and flatteringly placed pockets in the back. The coin pocket features Hudson’s signature flag logo and the back pockets have the signature “V” shape design.

Overall, I am really impressed with the sculpting and flattering fit of these jeans. They have a great wide flare leg that looks nice paired with sandals or heels. I see myself wearing these quite a bit over the summer and into the fall! You can buy Hudson jeans online at their website.
