DENIM REVIEW: Rag & Bone Fit 1 in Waterloo

Rag & Bone Fit 1 Jeans Waterloo

My review this month is going to be on the Rag & Bone Fit 1 in Waterloo. Ever since I first saw these, I instantly wanted to try them out. They are one of the best blues that I have seen in a while because there is great detail to them that feels authentic and only adds to their appeal. Definitely a pair that I could not be more proud of hitting the market.

To start, I took these in my usual size 28. I didn’t realize that they were button-fly at first, so I was a bit hesitant at first as button-fly do tend to run smaller. These though, fit just like a pair with a zipper-fly. That’s something that I love about Rag & Bone is their consistency with their jeans regardless of details.

The legs are cut pretty slim and I would say they are on the slimmer side of a straight leg cut. These also have a lower rise than expected for men’s jeans, which I actually am a fan of because it adds to the edgy appeal of the jeans. They aren’t a women’s low, but low enough to have a modern fit that works well with the vintage feel of the wash. Though I am someone that does like stacking on their jeans, these are just a tad short for me at 32″. There is some stacking, but I personally would prefer them to have a bit more length to them.

What surprises me the most about these jeans was the fabrication. They have a really soft hand and quite a bit of stretch to them. I was not expecting this at all as they look like a washed pair of rigid denim. This definitely gets a thumbs up from me as they feel as though they are a pair of sweatpants and can be worn all day. The wash is my favorite part. I first saw these on Justin Theroux and just instantly fell in love them because of light blue and repaired detailing.

These have a sandy blue wash to them that for the most part is great on its own, but Rag & Bone took it up another level and added some distressing. Clean distressing that complements the wash really well. There are slash knees and repaired tears at the upper inner thighs at both the front and back of the jeans. These are actual repair detailing as they have denim patches underneath as reinforcement. So there is no fear of them opening up as you move around.

Overall, if you are looking for a really comfortable pair of distressed jeans, these are the ones to get. They have a great fit that will look great on many body types and they feel fresh from the other distressed styles out for men right now. I definitely recommend these.
