4 Ways To Style Flares For Fall

Flares are big this Fall season and not just in the usual denim either. Trendy options like corduroy, velvet and jersey are popular right now and there’s multiple ways you can wear them in various colours. I’ve put together 4 different styling options for a brown corduroy, indigo blue, black and light blue pair of flares, so there’s something for everyone. Featuring two smarter options and two casual looks, you can’t go wrong with these and they all scream Fall to me!

Brown Corduroy Flares

The look above is one of my favourites! I chose to use the Paige High Rise Bell Canyon Jeans in Corduroy as the base of the look and then opted for a cropped cream sweater, some beige ankle boots, a tan belt, a fringed tan bag and some aviators to finish it off. This is a look to me that has a Rosie Huntington-Whiteley vibe about it and gives off a Bobo feel. It’s definitely something I would wear and it’s perfect for the cooler months as it’s nice and cosy, with a warm palette.

Black Flares

The second look I chose was inspired by Rachel Zoe, the queen of flares. I chose the DL1961 Joy Flare Jeans in Black as I think black makes such a classy base to work with. As this was one of the smarter looks, I went for a black tuxedo style blazer which is layered over a lace detailed cami top. Suede ankle boots in black help lengthen the legs and the black sunglasses and necklace just tone it down just a touch, so it’s not too suit like. I think this is a great way to incorporate flares into office or meeting wear and still look fashionable at the same time.

Light Blue Flares

Moving onto light blue flares which is usually the chosen colour, I went with the FRAME Le Flare Jeans in Mid Blue as they have a great wash and a sleek fit. Mid to light blue denim isn’t something that’s easy to dress up at all which is why I went for another casual look like this one. Choosing a mocha coloured tank top with a chunky knitted cardigan in cream layered over the top for warmth was my idea of comfort. I went with some beige suede thick heeled boots, a cross body bag, a necklace and a belt to finish it off. This look is perfect for running errands, shopping or whatever else you want to do that requires little to no effort. I’ve worn similar outfits to this and I love them.

Indigo Flares

Finally, another smart look, this time using dark blue flares in the shape of the MiH Marrakesh Flares in Indigo. These have been a classic for many people for years so it made sense to use them. I’ve got two options for tops here and that’s a structured blouse or a sleeveless tie front jacket. It depends what you are feeling like wearing and what sort of temperatures are outside. I chose some black suede pumps as I think suede matches flared jeans a lot nicer than regular leather, a faux croc embossed red clutch, some diamond earrings and a simple, silver nail ring. You could sport something like this at the office if the dress code is more lenient, otherwise it works well for a night out.

– So, which outfit do you like the most and how do you wear your flares?
