Vintage Denim Trends to Bring Back Now

Vintage and denim go hand and hand. You can pretty much bring any vintage denim trend back into your closet and be killin’ the game, but there are always a handful of trends that dominate the fashion world at one time. Check out the 4 vintage denim trends the crew at Denim Blog are really feelin’ for Spring, after the jump.

(Alexa Chung for AG Jeans)

A mod/hippie classic; the button down a-line skirt. In the photo above, Alexa Chung shows us how it’s done in one of the pieces for her collaborative line with AG jeans. It’s probably my favorite piece for Spring this year and there are so many ways to style it. Get the button down skirt HERE.

The 70s are making a huge comeback this year and the trend that REALLY stands out? JUMPSUITS. There are tons of great jumpsuits out there with beautiful prints and lightweight fabrics, but denim jumpsuits are by far, my favorite. They’re classic and do a women’s body good. Stoned Immaculate Vintage has a nice little inventory of gorgeous denim jumpsuits to satisfy your 70s denim jumpsuit craving.

Denim overalls can range anywhere from 90s Calvin Klein short-alls to 70s denim rompers, they’re all great for the warmer weather and perfectly on trend. You can pair them with your bathing suit, bralettes, crop tops or even chunky knit sweaters. Here are a few of our favorites.

If you don’t want to recreate this Farrah photo then I don’t know if we can be friends. This ICONIC photo (and human being) contains the quintessential denim outfit. Flares have been taking on a bit of a different shape and style these days but no matter how big or wide your flare, you can always get a solid outfit out of them. The “luxe boho” look is the perfect pairing for flares these days but I ain’t mad at a little zip up sweater with them like Farrah either. Get your flares HERE.
