2014 Fall Color Palette

If you haven’t heard or seen it already, Pantone releases a projected color report for each season using a collection of its colors for one full palette. The collection consists of a few different shades of a few different colors and is also based off of collections seen on the runway.

I love color palettes and I respect people that create them for a living because it’s definitely not as easy as it looks, therefore I wanted to highlight this Fall’s color palette from Pantone.

Now, don’t take this palette too seriously, you are not BOUND to these colors until Spring 2015 hits, it’s just fun to see what colors are on trend and maybe it will prompt you to experiment with new shades this season. What colors are you wearing this Fall?

As you can see above, this is the Full color palette for Fall 2014 via Pantone. It has a little twist on your standard Fall colors (i.e. Sangria, Misted Yellow and Cypress), some purple hues thrown in and a wild card of “Aluminim” to top it off. “This is a season of untypical colorsÔÇömore reflective of the imagination and ingenuity, which makes for an artful collection of colors and combinations not bound by the usual hues for fall,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute┬«. “There is a feminine mystique that is reflected throughout the palette, inspired by the increasing need for women everywhere to create an individual imprint.”

One of the main reasons I have an affection for color palettes is because I am always impressed with how well the most unexpected colors can pair well together, and this collection is a perfect example that. You can mix and match these colors throughout your outfits or you can experiment with one at a time. Regardless, it’s a fun collection to work with.

Now onto the fun part, THE DENIM! As you all know, colored denim has been trending for a while now. With the rise of denim colors, trends and textures it has elevated the importance of denim to now styling your outfit around it, instead of throwing a T-shirt on with it. The exciting part about colored denim is it’s a easy way to incorporate new palettes into your wardrobe and above are our picks for Fall 2014. They may not have debuted this season, but they fit perfectly with the color scheme and our a few of our favorite brands.
