DENIM AT NYFW

We are in it folks. We are in the middle of fashion week mania and we’ve got all your denim coverage, well, covered! I always love seeing how designers incorporate denim into their collections and where the denim trends go along with the rest. They are just as apart of fashion week as any other fabric and make more appearances than you realize. Below is coverage on all things denim for NYFW Spring ’15. I hope to introduce you to some new designers and also give you coverage from your favorites as well.

Denim on the Runway

Above are women’s collections in which denim has made an appearance. The variety was exciting and I loved seeing American Designers like Tommy Hilfiger incorporating denim into his collection. After all, denim IS the American dream!

Please enjoy the above collections from:

DKNY | Diesel Black Gold | Thomas Maier | Toga | Pam & Gela | Anna Sui | 6397 | Rag & Bone | Tommy Hilfiger | Frame Denim

Denim in Menswear

Don’t worry boys, I didn’t forget about you. I happened to stumble upon a collection by Telfar and they are killing it. I personally have never heard of them and I was so glad I looked into the collection. They are heavily focused on menswear and have a big bulk of their collection dedicated to denim. I appreciate all of the different ways they have used the fabric, especially for menswear which can be challenging.

Spring 2015’s Biggest Trend

I remember seeing flares/bell bottoms a few seasons ago and not being ready for them to make their way back into fashion just yet, but I’m digging the way Coach made it happen (see above). One of the biggest trends for denim, or bottoms in general for that matter, this season is flares.

Street Style

The street style at fashion week is almost as notorious as fashion week itself. Racked captured amazing photos of street style at NYFW with denim making an appearance. Check it out!
