Denim is easy; it goes with anything and can be dressed up or down pretty much taking you from day to night or from party to party. Sometimes the “dressing it up” part can be difficult because it isn’t always just slapping on a pair of heels. Here are three ways to dress up your denim for those fun Summer parties.
You’re most likely going to be in denim shorts for the majority of the Summer so why not take them from your day look to your night look? This blouse is sleeveless so you don’t have to worry about the warmer nights and it’s cinched at the waist to give you some shape. The collar and the button up factor dress up the look and the heels just push it along. These shorts are slouchy which is the Summer equivalent of the boyfriend jean.
Speaking of the boyfriend jean, they are still great when the Summer nights cool down a bit. A sheer black blouse is light and airy so you’re still cool if it happens to stay warm and it adds a sleek element to the look. I added the striped long sleeve to tie around your waist because that is the jam right now and you have it in case you get cold as well. Lastly, boyfriend jeans and ankle strap heels go together like peanut butter and jelly so you kind of have to put them together.
If you’re going the denim dress route, a tight, printed top would dress the look up and adding heels will complete the look. Accessorizing this look is easy with a watch and a three finger ring. A clutch is keeping the look classy while holding your things and some lipstick will top everything off.
