90’s Inspired Denim

90’s trends have been popping up here and there for years, but they’ve really made their presence known the past couple of years. I love watching trends come back around because they’re always done with a little modern flare from the present time period and I’m loving the way everyone’s wearing their 90’s gear now. Here are my 3 favorite trends that came back this year.

Acid Wash

Acid wash ruled the early 90’s almost being a print of its own and it was everywhere from jean jackets to hammer pants. Presently we’re seeing it on skinny jeans, jean shorts and it’s even making its way to other fabrics besides denim to give the piece an extra texture. What I love about acid wash is that it’s such a statement on its own, so you don’t have to do much to dress it up.

Overalls

Here at DB we’ve been a fan of overalls for a while now, highlighting them in different ways and showing you ways to style them. For a while everyone had to ease into the trend wearing tailored, pants overalls, but now everyone’s going all the way and bringing out the shorts overalls for summer. I own a pair of Volcom Women’s overalls myself (below) and I plan on wearing them everywhere from the beach to a BBQ.

Jean Jackets

I personally believe jean jackets are a classic item that never really go out of style, but for a while there, they were no where to be found. They come in so many different lengths, styles, colors and look great layered when it gets a little chilly.
