St. Patrick’s Day Outfit Inspiration

Lorna

It’s St. Patrick’s Day today and we all thought it might be good to do some outfits which were inspired by the green theme! Not many people tend to wear green jeans or too much green in general, but there are plenty of ways that you can incorporate it into your outfit! The most popular shade of green lately is mint! It’s one of the best to wear for Spring as it’s so fresh and light, while something like olive or khaki is better suited to Winter. Each of us has styled our own take on a green outfit; 2 women’s looks include jeans, 1 doesn’t and the other is a guys outfit. Are you wearing green today?

My outfit above is something classic which includes a lot of green without being too over the top. I have a lot of Irish family and am part Irish myself, so I had fun doing this outfit! I chose a pair of DL1961 green skinny jeans as I loved the colour of them, it’s really intense. I paired them with a lace crochet top and nude heels to keep the green jeans as the focal point. For my accessories, I wanted to have a statement making necklace and found this amazing green one! I think it just adds a bit more femininity to the look while making a statement. I then chose a floral watch by Olivia Burton to freshen things up, a clover inspired peridot ring and then a mint coloured bag to keep things light.

For my St. Patrick’s Day look, I really wanted to style these Current/Elliott high rise skinny fatigues. I love the dark green chino color and think they’d be a great option for a more casual celebration. I wanted to do something monochrome, so I chose to style them with a light green silk button down blouse from Uniqlo. Because the blouse is lighter green with bluer undertones, it doesn’t look too over the top in terms of green. To give the outfit some shine, I added these metallic gold slip on loafers from Givenchy, gold rings, tortoiseshell round sunglasses from the Row, and a slouchy bucket bag from Tory Burch.

Although I’m not Irish, I’ll take any excuse to wear green, after all it’s one of my favorite colors. Mostly when you think of “green clothes” you don’t get the most pleasant of thoughts but I wanted to change your mind. The crop top/pencil skirt trend is sweeping Spring looks by storm and I’m so down with it. You can’t go wrong with black and white mixed with any color so this was a must for me, and I kept all the accessories and shoes chic and classic. If you have anywhere fun to go this St. Patty’s Day, this is your look!

I wanted to do a look somewhat different from the usual green look by not using the usual articles of clothing like a jacket, jeans or shirt in the color, but use an accessory. I chose the AG Adriano Goldschmied Matchbox jeans in Super Black as my choice of jeans and paired them with a plain black t shirt by James Perse, an A.P.C. backpack and some Nike Frees. As for the green I chose a vibrant neon green beanie from ASOS (similar here) to bring in the spirit of the holiday.
